Perfect for my indoor dryer use. Been using this vent kit for years. Only downfall I have with this one kit is that there is no visible hole in the tub but where the little circle is on the bottom it drips water when water in placed in the bucket or ice. Kind of sucks but tbh I don’t really remember ever to add water or ice anyways. Still works great.

Okay, it's a $15 dryer filter. It has holes, few instructions, and depending on the humidity and your dryer and a lot of other factors it's awesome or sucks. I threw $15 at it because I live in a small, unvented studio apartment and everything I own is covered in lint or dust because until now, it all just blew out and around the apartment. The spiders love it, but me? Not so much.I got it yesterday and put it together in a few minutes. Once you figure out how to snap it together and get it aligned right, it's easy and will get easier each time you do it. In the photos, I tried to show the unboxing and what comes in the box. Some people say it's "tiny" or "small" but I am quite pleased with the size. Like Goldilocks, I'd say this is "just right." From reading other people's reviews and seeing the unit I knew the water in the bottom of this would be a mess. I own a shop vac. I know what water + lint looks like. Looking for a non-water option, I went down to my local ACE Hardware store where I spend sinful amounts of money every month and they GAVE me a yard of flexible screening. I cut it into rectangles, then ovals, and used Gorilla Glue to fasten the screening over every hole. It took me about an hour because I'm old and slow and the Gorilla Glue was a PIA to work with. (PIA = PAIN IN THE A**).I got out my new impact driver, took the back off of the dryer to make sure I wasn't drilling into anything important and attached the holder to the side of the dryer. For now, where the dryer is, that was my best option. I did some sort of stupid funky celebration that installation went without a hitch and the holder is rock solid and I didn't drill into any live electrical thing inside the dryer. (Just kidding. I looked and unplugged it before drilling).There's a photo of the back of my dryer - proof I checked first. So, now it's ready to go and I hope it works. I checked with an empty dryer running and the air flow is good, so there shouldn't be a problem. Tiny tiny tiny dust will get through it I'm sure, but if it does, I've decided to just stick one of my Shop-vac filters up in there. I can make a cap shaped filter with that with more glue, or sew it even.PROS:It's cheap.It's well madeIt's lightweightIt's easy to put togetherIt's easy to installYou can improve or adapt it in a variety of ways. It's not so expensive that you'll regret screwing it up.It works to reduce lint and dust - although how much is up to you.The tubing is good and stretches well although it'd put a strain on it to get it four full feet.CONSYou have to adapt or improve it if you really want to eliminate the maximum amount of lint and dust. It works as is right out of the box, but if you want ALL lint and dust gone, you're going to have to get creative and find your inner engineer. I am a redneck. Fixing things with duct tape and stuff is in my DNA.Even outdoor vented dryers blow dust and lint around the dryer, but I enjoy a challenge. If you don't, don't buy this.It's a lint filter. Add water and lint and you have a mess.It takes time to improve or adapt it. I could have been lying in bed eating bon-bon's and painting my toenails instead of gluing screening to this thing. But, it SHOULD last.There are NO screws that come with it. You'd think that for the price two .19 screws could have been included, but no. You have to find your own. The screws are used to hold the support to whatever - wall, dryer, etc. I am a woodworker so I own enough random screws to get me through a zombie apocalypse so I didn't sweat that so much, but if you don't own a drill and random screws, or at least a screwdriver it might be a PIA.Summary, as I figure this will improve my current situation, which is a plus. And, for what I paid for it, plus a bottle of Gorilla Glue, and an hour of my time, it's not bad. It's a completed project. Your own milage may vary.

Works great

I find this to be a frustrating attachment to my portable dryer. Mostly, the hose becomes detached from my portable dryer. Could be that the dryer needs better clips to keep this product in place. The top and bottom of the water filtration containers become detached easily. The product is functional with lots of effort.

After over a dozen uses, my entire house is coated with a super-fine layer of lint! It is easily visible EVERYWHERE, and is a shocking amount when you wipe it off. I had to quit doing laundry for a while and wipe my entire house down. My dryer has a very effective lint-trap system, which kind of makes it worse. Only the finest particles get through the dryer's two-stage filters (and probably only 1% of total lint), which are harder to clean up. (And can't be good to breathe!)The water does absolutely NOTHING to capture lint. I left the same water in for about 10 loads one weekend, and it only had a few lint particles on the bottom.The product itself is an absolute rip-off. It's just two small plastic buckets, with a crude "snap" system. The problem is, the bottom "inner" bucket is too large in diameter, so the top "outer" bucket can't properly fit over it in order to snap. Without being able to snap, it is easily knocked over and your water spilled. Some con-artist is making a fortune off of this "product".And if you really stop to think about how this works, you'll realize it can't. When moving air strikes a surface, the bottom-most layer forms a "cushion" which most of the other air just slides over. So only a fraction of the air makes any contact with the water, and even then, the concept of surface tension should inform you that the air doesn't enter the water, or provide any way to "grab" the lint. You might be thinking, like I did, "well the lint is heavier and so inertia will cause it to plow through the turbulent air at the bottom and land on the water, then sink". Except in reality, it doesn't actually work that way. I suppose if you had a crappy dryer that didn't filter out the big stuff, then that might still work for the bigger chunks. But empirically, it DOES NOT WORK for the super-fine lint, which in my case is all of it.
