Good Value for Money; Needs Better Packaging
The unit I got arrived intact. It's also continued working quite well since it arrived a few months ago. However, after seeing the packaging, I can all too easily understand why so many people received ones that were DoA or died very shortly after. Overall though, the quality of plasma ball is quite good. The brightness is more than reasonable, and it's reasonably well-balanced on the base provided.

This plasma ball is a fun object which blends physics and beauty. It is a plasma lamp that radiates active, moving beauty into a darkened room. One can also do a variety of electricity related physics experiments with it as well. It can be a fun, entertaining, as well as educational object for a child at almost any age.

I love these!
I bought this for my niece. I used to have this as a kid, along with a lava lamp. Science is great for people growing up. The colors and feel of the electricity is a lot of fun. The product is really easy to use as it is plug and play. The product is not heavy. It may have only gotten a couple uses, but it was a blast for the price.

Didn't work as intended...but seller made it right.
The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: I originally review this as 2/5 stars, as I was not happy with how the product turned out. After posting this review, the seller reached out to me to apologize and offer a refund. I'm happy with this resolution and I believe it shows good customer service, so I'm going to raise my score to 4 stars (I don't think 5 is fair since the product didn't work as intended). I will also leave my original review/video below for transparency:I bought this ~2 month ago. Was rather disappointed with how dim it is and how weak/dull/big the electric strands look. I think it's also gotten worse over time, but it wasn't great to start. Maybe if the thing was cheaper I could understand, but at $40, I expected more. I'm starting to look for a new one now that isn't so dull. I just looked back at some of the other customer videos of this item and some of theirs look better which leads me to believe that maybe I just got a bad one.
