Very useful and functional product

Fits perfect for the model 3!

Overall, I'm happy with this. It adds a small extra storage space that's not obvious, allowing you to hide things that will likely not be found if someone breaks into (or otherwise searches) your car. I haven't figured out anything of consequence to actually put in it, but it's still pretty cool.My only quibble is that, being relatively cheap plastic-on-plastic, with no additional materials interfacing between them, sliding it open and closed is a little rough. It smooths out with a bunch of openings/closings, but it's quality of movement still identifies it as a cheap object without strict manufacturing tolerances. All said, this is a very minor issue; it's not *difficult* to open and close, and it's not something you'll be likely to need to open and close on a regular basis.The installation is really easy, and the adhesive tape used seems very secure. I'm happy with the purchase, and have no qualms recommending it.

Easy to install

Cheaply designed, wont stay in place, falls out every time armrest opened. After posting this review, the company reached out immediately and offered a refund or replacement. They did stand behind their product and promptly followed through.

This product is pretty neat! As mentioned from other reviewers, the material itself is a dark piece of plastic with a few pieces of foam and double sided tape on the edges. You do not have to use this tape - I just slipped it into the armrest and the pressure just kept it in.Storage area-wise, this is for small, light items. As long as you're not planning on putting something in with significant weight, it's perfect for things like cards, paper, post its, backup sd card for sentry mode, iphone adapter, etc. One thing to keep in mind is that by installing this little compartment, you can't put anything too big underneath the armrest in that little organizer that comes with the car because it will bump into the compartment door, but I think that's a perfectly fine tradeoff.One improvement I would like to see is a way to prevent the door from completely sliding off - the current design allows you to slide the door completely off. However, for <$20, it's a minor complaint.

Purchased this the other day. It arrived and I installed. However, the slide does not stay shut/lock when sliding it closed. Thus, making this inoperable! I contacted the seller direct. Of course they claim they are big Amazon sellers and very experienced sellers; blah blah blah. They want photo’s. The item is installed currently but can’t be used;The part that needs to be photographed is inside the slide. So, Ill go to Amazon for the help. This seller is not good.

Fits a 2021 Tesla model Y, good adhesion, uses the dead space under the arm rest nicely. You can't fit very much in there, but its handy for small items you want to keep out of sight and keep separate from the main centre console. A bit tricky to pull things out of it depending on the size. I often wrap stuff in something to prevent rattling and make removal easier. I would buy again. I waited until this item was reduced in price before purchasing.Update October 3, 2024 - the Gen 2 version does not seem as good. I have a new model y and the cheap carbon fiber look makes the “hidden storage box” stand out when you lift the center console.Will not buy Gen 2. Basenor got this update wrong. The previous Gen 1 was more discreet and matched the colour and texture of the underside of the center console.

El tamaño es exacto, fácil de instalar (solo se desprende el adhesivo y se coloca) se obtiene un compartimento extra bastante discreto y seguro para dejar cosas fuera del alcance de personas como valets.Muy satisfecho con el producto. Lo recomiendo.
