After more research and proper use of this product (slowly building up the dosage), I've decided to update my review. My initial review stated that the entire packaging and the product itself smelled horrible, like it was rancid and not stored correctly. I also stated that I feel sick immediately upon taking it. Both of those things are completely normal by the way, especially if you have serious health problems and chronic illness like I do. This selenium actually is high quality so you need to start slowly. I wouldn't even take the recommended dose at first as you may have a serious detox reaction. Other than that just use carefully and get your levels up as most of us are severely deficient.

I can't say whether this works as I have only had it 2 days. But what I can tell you is that it smells horrendous. When I opened the Amazon box I could smell it strongly and thought it had leaked. It hadn't! You can smell thus stuff through the glass bottle. My kitchen reeks of it. I have taken it twice by putting the drops in an empty capsule which seems to work fine. But the smell...the smell!!!

I thought that the reviews about the smell were people being overdramatic (I was wrong). Like the other reviews stated, the smell is STRONG through even an unopened glass bottle. It was making the entire first floor of my house stink. I had to throw it away and take the trash out immediately. Even the bubble wrap it came in stank and was making me gag. Another reviewer described the smell as animal urine - I don’t find that to be accurate, to me it smells more like plastic manufacturing or some sort of chemical byproduct from a commercial chemical plant. The smell makes me think that this is unsafe to ingest. And the worst part is that you can’t return it. I dont recommend this and I will not be purchasing again.

Really like this product mixed with liquid zinc. Nails seems to be getting less ridges in them also.
