My daughter and I love these! Its perfect for kids and adults!
A great product to teach your kids how to sew or fine- hand/eye coordination. Its relaxing to do on rainy days instead of watching screens. W just love all the shapes that come with it! my daughter is 5 and the plastic needles that come with are perfect for her to use.

Mixed Feelings! - But Overall Positive.
I loved the plastic pieces but the "shears" left more than a little to be desired. I would have much preferred no scissors to these things! Other than the shears the rest of the listing is perfectly functional. This would be an ideal purchase for those just learning cross stitch or embroidery but maybe stick to different bundles for more advanced makers!

Perfecto para niños
Me gustó que las agujas son muy flexibles, así no hay peligro con los niños, aunque siempre hay que estar al pendiente con ellos. A mis hijas les gustaron las diferentes formas de las canvas y los colores

Great for kids
My 8 year old granddaughter expressed a desire to learn new crafts. I ordered this kit for her to play with. She is loving it. The needles did break at the top of the eye. I'm guessing she was trying to pull the yarn though areas where she had too much yarn. I've replace the plastic with metal needles. Easy fix.

Decent
Not a bad kit. It's of yarn. Lots of possibilities. Great for getting kids into craftingThe needles are not the strongest but worth it for the cost

Good value for a complete starter kit
My 11 y.o. said she wanted to learn “embroidery.” So as a gift, I bought her a book for beginners‘ needle craft that included step-by-step instructions for learning both embroidery techniques and cross-stitching. I added this “starter” kit for cross-stitching and a “starter” kit for embroidery as a complete everything-needed-to-get-started gift basket. With all the colorful yarn this kit included, the presentation looked quite festive. She loved it!I was looking for buying plastic mesh separately when I found this kit. Plastic mesh varies in price, but tends to be more expensive, making the value of this kit very compelling, especially with the added tools and mini-skeins of yarn. Everything one needs to get started is already included. The tools (needles in particular) are plastic, but are quite adequate for starting out. While one can cut larger sheets of mesh down to size, I appreciate the inclusion of smaller squares with smoother edges. (That reminds me to note that the small scissors have not yet been tried.) All of this makes that first step into cross-stitching more inviting. My only quibble so far is that the mini-skeins of yarn could have been more neatly/tightly wound. We may need to wind them into balls if they start to tangle. But considering the collection will help keep my daughter out of my stash of fancier yarns I use for crochet, this is very minor.

Great for little hands! My toddler loves it!
I purchased this to keep my 3.5 year old toddler busy. My intention was to use this to strengthen his focus, pincer grasp and overall hand strength and coordination. This fit the bill perfectly! The size of the plastic canvas is just right for little hands to hold and not too overwhelming. The needles are flexible plastic and the pointed end has a tiny plastic ball for safety so they are not too sharp for children or beginners. You cannot stab or pierce the skin with the needle. There are plenty of fun colors of yarn to choose from. The scissors are not the highest quality I have used but do the job and, again, are good for little hands to practice with due to the style. I highly recommend for young children, even toddlers, to teach the simplest basics of hand sewing. Consider this the first step and you can easily work up to needlepoint, cross stitch, etc. from this. My only recommendation would be to have on hand (or the seller could include in the set) a cheap needle threader as threading yarn is difficult especially for young children.
