Lock seems quality made but I suspect it is easy to get matching keys.

This is a great lock and serves its purpose very well. Locking mechanism is smooth (you can use triflow to lube it too). Pay attention to the model. The shackle thickness differs and you’ll want to confirm it fits your use case. The Abus site will have that.

I use this lock to secure my motorcycle with a chain from abus as well. Also a hobbyist lock picker. I trust this lock. Yea, there’s better out there, it has an interesting core, not the greatest but outer construction is solid with a decent pin arrangement.

I bought two of these locks in January 2023. Used the first one immediately, then used the second one when I needed it (June 2023). The second lock sat in the unopened box up for 5 1/2 months, so I believe it should be considered "new" even though it was past the 90 window of return on Amazon. The key broke off in the lock (see pictures). The lock might be sturdy but the keys are made of cheap aluminum (or another soft alloy). I contacted ABUS multiple times to see if I could send it back to have it fixed (or replaced) and they flat out ignored me! This is not the type of customer service I would expect from a supposed reputable and trusted company. I understand the Amazon window for return on this item was over, but it bothers me that ABUS won't stand by their product. It also bothers me that they didn't even reply to my inquiries. Ignoring a customer who has spent over $200 (I also purchase two of their larger locks) is a no-no for me. I won't be buying another ABUS lock after this experience, that's for sure.UPDATE 6/21/23: Well, lo and behold, a few hours after posting this review I was contacted by ABUS who promptly sent me a new lock to replace the damaged one. So, thank you ABUS for stepping up on the customer support side of things!

In traveling with a trailer and having 10k+ worth of items in the trailer, I was skeptical is using any lock on the trailer. I purchased this lock and the first thing about this lock is that just its looks alone can be deceiving. I was able to place the lock with the key hole side down on the trailer lock so it would be almost impossible to pick, also there was not enough room to use any type of cutter to get to the bar of the lock. I parked my trailer in a area in downtown Asheville where there was no lighting in the parking lot and next to a busy street where someone could have just came in, cut the lock, grab my items and jumped on the interstate in no time. The next morning, I noticed that there were scratch marks around lock where it looked like some tried to use a crowbar to pry the lock off, but the lock itself was unharmed and they bent the trailer handle some but was never able to get into the trailer. I purchased three of these locks so I could go the extra mile and use a heavy duty chain to chain the trailer to my truck so if someone was to break the pin lock on the hitch, they had more work to do in cutting the chain or trying to break these locks if they wanted to take my whole trailer. Next will be getting wheel locks. Overall, great lock and I will continue to use them.

High quality lock

Fits a one-trip 8x20 conex shipping container with attached lockbox perfectly well. Smooth action and I can't see anyway to get to the lock and mess with it. Also a bonus, you can't see this lock protruding from the lockbox at all - so I will put a standard master padlock on one of the four locking hasps. If someone wants to get in, they will cut the padlock, then they will find the ABUS and likely get stuck. This lets me know someone went through the time of bolt cutting the lock off without getting in, and I will need to step up security.

Fits my 20 foot sea container perfectly. Better then most locks out there.
