If you have a swimmer and need a snorkel, this is a good product for swim practice. My child complained a little about the comfort of it, but said it worked as well as she needed it to for the purpose. Made kind of cheaply but does the job.

So I recently got into swimming due to some knee and back problems, never been a swimmer for exercise before, only recreation. I wanted to be able to work my legs using training fins, but without doing a crawl it's a bit hard to raise your head for breath when you are paddling hard. So I bought this snorkel and it is awesome. I have since started using it for both flipper/leg only laps and for crawl laps. The only thing I would change is adding a bit more padding to the band, but you get used it after a few sessions.

I have used the Finis snorkles for years and have been very pleased at their duribility and ease of use. This is the first one I have gotten that does not have the diaphragm. I did this inadvertently as I am losing my mind as I get older, but it turned out to be a fortuitous mistake. This works as well as the one with the diaphragm. I think, although I have not tested my theory, that it works best for shorted swim times. But who knows. I only swim about a mile a day using swim cords attached to the side of my pool. For someone who is using them for training the first type might be best.Also I love that Finis is coming up with new colors.

Although I am an experienced scuba diver, this is my first experience with a swim snorkel that rises from the front. While it does enable me to swim longer without tiring, I find two problems. First, the padding that goes against the forehead is insufficient. It should be thicker or softer in some fashion. Second, if the snorkel fills, perhaps when pushing off the wall to start a lap, the amount of water in the snorkel is so great that it takes a very strong breath to clear it. Some snorkels have a purge near the base to make it easier to evacuate the water from the tube. This should have one.

My partner took my first Finis snorkel ( because it is so good) so this is the replacement for myself! I have not found a swimming snorkel to beat this one!
