Very happy with this laptop. Came in with great condition. Wouldn't know that it is refurbished by looking at it. Everything looks new.I own a Dell 7490 i7 and this one being the exact model but a i5 so I am familiar with the specs. Everything works the same way except the i7 performance is a tad better. Everything else is on par from keyboard, monitor, WIFI connection, etc.Would buy a refurbished laptop from Dell from Amazon again if I ever need another one.

TL;DR: I have been very impressed with the refurb Dell 7490s and would definitely consider more refurbed laptops from Amazon based on these. Definitely worth the money, in my opinion.The Full Review:This is the third Dell 7490 refurb we have purchased through Amazon. The first was basically in "like new" condition - virtually perfect condition - and led me to decide to buy one for myself as well to use as a second laptop for only work purposes. (The first was for my SIL.) The second ordered laptop was also in very good condition visually, but the battery was shot (way under the 80% guarantee - with 45 minutes of battery life, roughly), and the left touch pad button didn't worry consistently - so we returned that one and they refunded it without issue. The third one, mine, the one I am typing this review on, is a little more visually "used", and came a bit "dusty", and has way more dings and scratches than the first two [see pictures] - and the first two had the original chargers while this one came with a third party aftermarket charger (the listing did say that was a possibility, so not biggie there - it works) - all that said, the screen had no dead pixels and looks good, the battery is good [getting between 7.5 and 8.5 hours of battery life], the RAM and hardware passed all diagnostics, the ports all work, the speakers are good, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth work, the keyboard and touchpad all work great (really like the keyboard on these laptops), and this third one came with the fingerprint reader too (the other two did not have that option). The OS (Windows 10) also came in the new install state without anything extra installed in "factory fresh" status and easily updated to Windows 11. Performance is great and responsive for all my daily uses, so far. I would likely buy another if needed, and would recommend them to someone else who needed a laptop for under $250 USD. So, if you need a very solid business class laptop for very little money, these refurb Dell 7490s are worth a look for sure.Note: The scratches on the display are not really visible under regular use with the screen on - the picture probably makes it look worse than it really is in day to day use - Just to be fair - but wanted to show condition as best as possible.

Le daré 3 estrellas, el equipo llegó en buen estado, no tenía nada de rayones, prácticamente la carcasa está como nueva, y su cargador también está como nuevo, no parece de segunda mano.El problema viene cuando la enciendo, ya que me da un error de Windows, por lo que tendré que reinstalar yo mismo uno desde cero, cosa que me parece un poco pesada, ya que si está tiene uno original pues perderé la licencia.Post data: Vengo a agregar una estrella mas y dejarla en 4. ¿Por qué el cambio de opinión? Pues como dije arriba, tuve que instalar el Windows desde cero, no fue difícil ya que fui a la misma página de Microsoft y desde allá mismo preparé hasta la memoria para instalar, y cuando subió el PC pues no perdí la licencia, aparentemente la pudo reconocer. En ninguna parte dice que la laptop tiene teclado iluminado y para mí sorpresa vino con teclado iluminado. Es bastante ligera, no se siente mucho el peso y es super rápida al encender. Y como dije prácticamente está nueva, la mía vino sin nada de rayones ni maltratos, no parece de segunda mano. Como dije, la estrella que le hará falta es por qué no vino completa como quien dice, el sistema operativo llegó deficiente, cosa que yo tuve que resolver. Pero después de eso es una excelente laptop, yo la recomiendo si tienes experiencias con sistemas operativos y para ti no sería un problema que te llegará, tal vez, con el sistema operativo defectuoso. Pero si no tienes experiencia en sistemas operativos pues debes mantenerte en constante contacto con el vendedor, como dije, es posible que no todas vengan así, tal vez les toque la suerte de recibir una como quien dice con todo bien.

The laptop showed up a few days early! I had a dell that died suddenly and needed a back up for my desktop machine. I saw the add for this on Amazon, almost sounded too good to be true. The previous reviews were good and so I took the plunge.It is fast, the keyboard is lighted and responds to touch nicely. Went thru the set up on it and was very happy w/ the laptop. I set it up as a mirror for my desktop, I set up Thunderbird Email client and FireFox browser. It boots up nicely, facial recognition is set up. For the price this is a sweet deal. My other Dell was a refurbished one also. I got it from EBay. That one i had to change the keyboard on it and the wifi adapter went out, I replaced that also.The battery is good, good 4hrs on it so far. I have Win 10 Ultimate on my desktop, 10 is good OS, 64 Bit. You really cant beat this deal. I shared it on FB and some of my friends were interested due to the price!.Update 1/1924This is about the 4th BSOD i have gotten. only thing installed is firefox and thunderbird email client....this is annoying....more BSODs than i have had ever on any computers!another BSOD just restarted it to a BSODCrashed again another BSOD shipping it back to Dell~
