Q: Will the laser show up on a large lcd tv screen?

Yes. You can. You have to be straight on though. The bigger the angle you are shooting the laser from the weaker the dot will be on your screen. This is especially true on white sections of the screen.

Q: Is there a way to click to start animations in slides with this device?

If you add animations that go on a click - them yes. I “animate” videos and other things so it plays when I click from across the room. It depends on how you set up your presentation.

Q: Does this work with google slides or ppt on a Promethean board?

It definitely works for Google. I don't know what a Promethean board is, so I can't answer that one for certain. However, it essentially sends a standard "next slide/previous slide" message to the Windows OS, so any application that conforms to that standard should work just fine. I would hope that most major commercial applications do it.
