Q: Is it possible to leave the tide function on continuously? Or do you have to press a button every time you want to know the tide?

To the best of my knowledge, once you push the 'tide' button (the one at the 4 o'clock position) the watch will stay in that mode until one of the other buttons (compass or temperature) is pushed. The compass function will not stay on indefinitely when activated, and reverts to the temperature mode after about 20 seconds. However, if you are in the tide-indicating mode and activate the compass, the watch will revert to the tide mode after about 20 seconds. The compass is probably a fluxgate unit and, if so, requires extra power over what is needed to simply show the time, tide or temperature. Hope this helps.

Hello, thank you for your inquiry! Both watches are of the same watch collection with a Tide Temp Compass feature. T2N720 comes with black dial with black silicone strap while T2N721 comes with a white dial and brown leather strap.
