Anastasia Beverly Hills - Brow Pen

This is hands-down the best brow product out there. I have tried countless powders, pencils, brushes & pens for my thinning brows that don't last, flake or are hard to apply. This pen is easy, stays put & looks natural. Recommended!

I have tried several Eyebrow liners and thought id give this one a try. For me it was too dark and fine. I have weird eyebrows so I need something to cover the whole thing at once in a hurry. Other than that its a good product.

Water and smudge proof, but darker than the description. Order a shade lighter to achieve desired color and effect.

I've tried the cheap, imitations and drugstore dupes but they don't compare to Anastasia. Caramel is my go-to color. I'm a warm, strawberry/golden blonde with green eyes. It's difficult trying to find a warm eyebrow color without it being too orange or taupe (which also turns green with the dupe brand). Caramel is the perfect middle ground. The application is smooth and buildable but be careful to not overdo it. Otherwise, the color can be very harsh. To fix this, apply translucent powder over the brow to set it after applying the brow pen--this will also mute any harsh lines. One trick I've learned is to apply makeup base and powder first over the eyebrow area and the pen adheres better and lasts longer. The only issue is the pen can become clogged. The pen typically lasts around 1.5 to 2 months depending on usage.

Normally, I love this product. It works well and lasts a long time. However, I’m not sure why, but whenever I’ve ordered this particular item from Amazon, it has come in poor quality and almost unusable condition. It’s almost like it was old product that had already dried up. When I’ve purchased this exact same thing directly from Sephora the quality is always much better and actually works. This last time I ordered it from Amazon for convenience because I needed it quickly but I ended up getting a refund because it was literally unusable. My advise is to buy this elsewhere and not from Amazon. Like I said, I suspect they are selling old expired product on here.

I have thinning eyebrows with some bare spots, so I really need a good brow product. There is lots to love about this product. Excellent control, the ability to target very small specific spots, lots of color choice (more on that later). I use it every day as it’s the best product I’ve found. I’ve also tried both thicknesses of pencil from Anastasia, but prefer the pen because it only requires a light touch and allows me to be more precise. With that said, there are some issues with it. First of all, when new, a LOT of product is dispensed - way too much. For the first couple weeks of use, I literally don’t let the tip touch my skin. I have to just touch it to the hair on my eyebrows - even in bare spots there is tiny invisible skin hair, and that’s what I touch the tip to. It’s like skimming the tip just above my skin. And even then, I have to brush the product out bc it’s dark and harsh. After using it for a couple of week that excess product dissipates and I can touch my skin. It still ends up too dark and needs to be brushed out, but once I do that it’s great. It lasts all day and looks very natural. My only other complaint is that I wish there was a color between Taupe and Blond. I’m medium brunette, and blond is a little too light on me and Taupe is too dark. I can’t understand why there are so many color options that are all darker than Taupe (for those unfamiliar, Taupe is the second lightest color offered and Blond is the lightest). Obviously darker colors are needed, but it’s not like I’m blond or red haired - it’s crazy that a brunette would find that the second lightest color in the line is too dark. That’s why I have to always brush it out. I just wish I could just apply the product and have the color be right instead of having to brush it out, reapply if I accidentally removed too much, brush it again, etc. It’s a pain, especially because it can be hard to get the same amount of product on both brows and they can end up mismatched if I’m not careful. None of that would be an issue if there was an in between color.

This pen does exactly what they say it does, you just have to know how to use it, super LIGHT strokes right from the start and just to fill in spaces, the strokes have to be drawn following the direction of your natural eyebrows growth, you can’t start drawing with a lot of pressure because the line will be too thick and it will look unnatural, look, to be honest if you’re terrible at drawing just skip this, but if you can somewhat draw then I totally recommend it, also it doesn’t rub off. I like it and I’m going to keep it.
