Q: How does the comfort and sound quality compare to "Eargasm" style earplugs?

All we can say is one of us *cough cough* developed our product from the ground up with the help of leading vibration engineers from MIT. Our proprietary acoustic soundbore technology and unique concha tab help deliver superior sound quality AND comfort. We manufacture in the USA using medical-grade materials. And the other guy uses a generic design and off-the-shelf parts made in China. Also, EAROS is not an "earplug" it's a highly-engineered "acoustic filter" :)

Q: Are they effective for shooting sports?

EAROS ONE has a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 17 dB and was designed primarily for use in loud recreational environments (e.g., nightclubs, concerts, sporting events, fitness classes, etc.). For a loud shooting sports environment you will likely want to look for a product with a higher NRR.

Q: Are these osha approved?

Yes, OSHA requires hearing protection products to be NRR-tested to determine the appropriateness for use in various workplace settings. EAROS ONE has an NRR rating of 17 dB and offers superior sound quality (and ability to communicate) relative to other hearing protection products, in addition to comfort and ease-of-use.
