Great replacement lead. Does just the job

Worked well for about 6 weeks then the power cable exploded and best into flames and a shower of sparks. Bought this to replace the HP adapter 12.7.21 and on 31.8 it went bang (loud according to my wife) showered sparks and burst into flames. It's the power cable just before the butterfly connector, no visible damage when I saw it at the weekend and today what looks like an electrical short could have started a fire where my wife works, fortunately it wasn't unattended. Whilst it's an easily replaced power cable, the manufacturing quality is so concerning my wife won't use it again.I have bought a replacement from HP direct for the same price and that's being delivered the next day free.

Good item working as a replacement for the original one

After a year of use (always left plugged in the same place, not heavy use at all) I suddenly noticed a acrid smell and realised smoke was pouring from the charger. Thankfully it happened when I was in the room and no harm was done, but this could have caused a disaster. I see there are other reviews saying the same happened to them. I will be contacting amazon to try and get a refund (and buying my replacement from HP!)

No problems with it. It works perfectly with an HP Probook Core i5 purchased in August 2021
