This stuff works as advertised!
Used this no-rinse foaming cleaner to clean the coils on my wall-mounted Split AC unit (Mitsubishi). Wow. Worked really well... bubbled dust and grit to the surface and slowly dripped the accumulated gunk down to the drain pan so I could towel it up and toss the mess. After about 30 minutes, the coils were actually shiny silver again. I will be ordering another can when I clean the units again in a year or so.

Fast, Effective Coil Cleaner
Excellent product. Our 20 yo HVAC system shines like new. Thoroughly and easily cleaned coils on the A/C unit and the furnace. It is a No Rinse product, but did rinse with water to remove any residue. Will definitely repurchase.

Cleans coil surfaces well, does not clean very deeply
Used an entire can cleaning an LG window unit. Followed instructions, which I didn't feel were completely clear. "The foam will break and condensation will completely rinse the emulsified material". Condensation from the coil? So if the unit hasn't been running and the coils are dry, once it's back in service, the condensation will subsequently rinse it? So I should return it to service at what point?I cleaned the unit 4 times, trying different ways, including a spray bottle set to a stream. It does rinse out the coils, but only about 3/16" (5mm) deep. The coils are much deeper and the foam doesn't seem to get in there. I tried one of the cycles with the unit on a fan setting to help suck it in and it only made a slight difference. The instructions talk about wiping the coil, but that's only going to get the very surface, not any grime or deposits that are deeper and you risk bending the vanes (very bad thing to do).It did help with the musty smell, so in that respect it work, but it didn't clean the coils as deep as I would like. The best way is probably to use a pump sprayer (like one of those 1 gallon models used for apply insecticides in the garden, etc) with something that will remove deposits but not damage the aluminum. Some people recommend Simple Green and then rinsing it with water, other people say that will damage the coils. I have no idea.TLDR version: It works, doesn't clean as deep into the coils as I'd like.
