It's the Best so Far

I have an old fashion Mirro Press but can no longer turn the knob due to arthritis so I bought a Marcato Press for $65 in 2018 but I don't have the strength for that one as it hurt my hand, then I bought this Wilton cookie press in 2020 and only just tried it out 2/2024 and it was perfect for my arthritis. It took a bit of getting use to as it take a while for the press to click but it is easy on the hands. Don't force it and you don't have to apply a lot of pressure but you do have to wait for the click. Other than that it is user friendly if you have hand problems, arthritis, etc.PS: If the barrel sticks while trying to clean it, make sure you unscrew everything before you run water on it. My barrel stuck and husband ran it under hot water a few times and it finally came apart.😊

Should have ordered this sooner!

The cookie press was extremely easy to use. The variety of cookies that you can make is great. It was very easy to add the dough to the cookie press initially and refilling it was easy also. It was easy to clean and put back in the box when you are finished. Highly recommend!

The best I have tried since the old school ones I had growing up

Growing up we had some stainless steel cookie presses where you twisted the nob. They are 100% the best! Unfortunately they don’t make those anymore. I have tried several others costing $10-35 and have returned or thrown away all of them. This one is a keeper! The trees are not as perfect as I like but very close… I’m assuming that’s in part because it is plastic. It is easier and faster than the one I used growing up.I would give it 5 stars if it came with metal plates, as those make better shapes. Also, the barrel could be larger. I wish I had bought two so I wouldn’t have to stop and refill as often.Overall, glad I didn’t spend $35+ this time and will be keeping this one!

Worked for a bit then broke

I make a lot of spritz cookies, not just Christmas, but I make a shortbread cookie. That’s very popular in my family so I’m making spritz cookies probably once a month. This machine didn’t even last a year . It’s nine months and it was very disappointing cookies always had to be thrown back in the batter because they came out too fat or else they came out too skinny. There was no consistency with this product. I finally upgraded to one that was probably four times more expensive but so far it’s been working amazing. Old saying is you get what you pay for they’re right.

Great price, great brand

I love Wilton products. I know when I buy them I’m getting good quality items. I was so excited to get this for such a good price! My mom wanted one for Christmas, but it was a different brand, and $10 more. I’m glad I came across this one! Shipping was fast, and it arrived in good shape.

Easy to use.

I have bought three of those over the past decades as they are economical and easy to use. The plastic barrel tube is kind of fragile, which was the reason that I had to toss my two previous ones after years of use.

Mixed review

The cookie press works great only if used with the included Wilton recipe. My grandmother's spritz recipe makes a dough that's too dense for the press to push through the shape disc. The Wilton recipe pushes through easily but the cookie comes out too crispy for my liking. I won't be using this cookie press in the future.

"Simple Success" is a Good Description

After several years, I decided that I wanted to make cookie press cookies. We found a VillaWare power cookie press stashed away in our closet (current price $149.00). The first day it was very difficult to use because the plunger becomes unattached while the press is in use. So I found this Simple Success press in Amazon for only $6.64, and I ordered it two days ago.So two days later, we were struggling to make more press cookies with the power press, which kept coming apart in process. Maybe we could glue the two press parts together? So it was 12:30 pm and, lo and behold, the Simple Success cookie press had been delivered. It saved the day!!Even with the Simple Success cookie press, making nice cookie shapes is still a "process" that takes some experience in using it. It depends on the temperature and consistency of the cookie dough, and how to do the "press." I also had read a tip to use cookie trays that had been cooled in the freezer. Generally, one click of the press and hold it long enough for the dough to come out. Two clicks of the press makes a thicker design, but generally satisfactory. Once you get the knack of it, it makes a lot of nicely shaped cookies that are a lot better than the shaped butter cookies that you can buy for $8-10.00 Lb. in the grocery store.
