Folks, I had reviewed this item once before, but it magically disappeared. So, the first time I ordered this, as many others have noted, mine arrived broken. There was only some inflated airbags sitting on TOP of the item, but nothing else protecting the item from banging around the inside of the box, which is likely why it broke in transit. I did receive a quick refund, and then I gave them a chance to send me another one.Now, this one I just received arrived in perfect condition. I gave it only 3 stars because:1. My original review disappeared. I don't like that kind of dishonesty.2. After giving it a whirl, it has some of the flaws others have noted where it's somewhat cumbersome to use, plucks off leaves as well as berries, and doesn't exclude the green ones easily.Having said that, it does make getting through lots of berry bushes much easier and quicker, if you don't mind twigs, leaves, and green berries in the mix. As it turns out, I don't mind plucking these items out later on when I'm sitting in front of one of my favorite shows. Just giving as much info as I can for folks to consider.One pro is the price. It's less expensive than several other brands for (essentially) the exact same product.Hopefully THIS review will remain. Tsk, tsk...don't remove reviews you don't like, please. Consumers want to know all the info in order to make an educated choice.

This is the BEST tool to protect your hands!! Especially harvesting Sierra Gooseberry that have strong thorns all over the berry - or blackberries, oregon grape, etc. My only complaint is that I didn't get one sooner! Love this!

If you know how to deal with a berry picker, it's a great helper in picking berries, I have tried it for blueberries and crow berries. It makes the process really fast. You should know how to use it in order not to damage plants. Please, first learn how to use it safely for plants and nature.With this berry picker I had almost no leaves for 2 gallons of blueberries.

This tool made harvesting so much easier. Coming from hand picking berries, the upgrade in efficiency is astronomical. I recommend holding your hand over the top when you strip a branch. The ripe berries are particularly bouncy, so they occasionally escape from the opening. Went out for an hour and got nearly 2 pounds of ripe huckleberries.

I was skeptical. But this actually works well. I picked 2x the amount I normally pick by hand alone. It doesn't come with any manuals. So you just have to get the flow of what works for you. You will get more leaves and twigs using the rake. So you have to decide if you rather spend time pulling out the leaves and twigs as you pick or as you clean. Definetly would recommend! Especially for those with back problems, like myself.
