Doves FarmDouble Chocolate Cookies 180g (PACK OF 4)

I almost was put off buying these due to the amount of recent one star reviews but I am glad I went through with the purchase. They're very indulgent, not too rich but a good authentic chocolatey taste. In my opinion the negativity stems from the texture, a lot of people like a soft or chewy cookie and this is not that. It honestly feels more like a biscuit in terms of the chew but the reviews saying its tasteless I think are way out of line.If you are only into tender/soft cookies then this is probably best avoided but if you're like me and have never minded it being a bit crunchier then this is a great tasting biscuit and thankfully avoids a lot of the pesky allergens out there.

I have celiac disease, so need to avoid Gluten. These biscuits were a very good price for being gluten free, but I didn't think much to them, they tasted floury to me.

I know a lot of gluten free snacks and baked goods tend to have a 'sandy-like' taste, but this was too much for me. I'm not gluten free, but was curious about the taste and all I can say is, I'm glad I don't have an intolerance and I'm so sorry to anyone who has to eat these. :( Just bland, sandy, bitter.

Almost negligible chocolate flavour despite being described as 'double chocolate' . Actually the cocoa content of the chips is a lowly 55%.Frankly they taste of sugar, admittedly not as sweet as Doves Choc chip cookies but still too sweet to be pleasing, let alone healthy.Judging by previous reviews I can only surmise the balance of ingredients has changed over time. Now it tastes cheap.I agree with other reviewers that the biscuits are crumbly, often arriving broken. They don't stand up well to dunking and more often than not they drop into the beverage.I'd rather pay more for a quality product that actually tastes like chocolate.

Normally these cookies are as described but the last 2 times I have only received chocolate chip cookies. Not what I ordered or wanted. Please can you let me know when you get these back in stock. (Double chocolate cookies) Thanks

Being allergic to nuts, soy, wheat and a number of other ingredients I've found it impossible to find chocolate cookies until these. Yes the texture is different and a bit grainier/ drier but I think they're lovely and will definitely buying again.

A nice thick crumbly dry biscuit with a powerful hit of chocolate aroma and taste. I note the description says made from gluten free flours and 'some sugar' and that really describes them well - they are not overly sweet and i noticed that which is maybe why they don't get a 5* from my taste buds. You get 7 in the box and I calculate that is approx just over 122 kcal per biscuit based on 488kcal per 100g. Gluten, milk, peanut, egg and soya free. If you like chocolate these are full of chocolate taste.
