BRIGHT
Great whistle, unused at the moment which is good and hopefully never used. LOL. Great quality and looks vibrant and the part. I would certainly recommend it as it is easy to use and lightweight.Great value for money and recommended hands down.Go for it

Great little whistle
Great product, luckily I’ve never had to use it for real but it’s as loud as it needs to be. Very easy to affix onto a shoulder strap with its clip, or can be worn around the neck. Does exactly what it needs to, I don’t go on any significant hikes without it.

Not as good as previous design.
I've had a Lifesystem whistle for years, and only wanted a replacement, as the end of the latch broke off, making it impossible to clip it onto a backpack strap with one hand.The old lanyard was stitched in, making it very robust, 5 years on my cycling bag with almost daily use it held up very well. The old whistle (shown in the product last photo on the backpack) is slimmer, has a better mouth piece (it has a wider and more pronounced lip, making it easy to bite down and hold with your teeth), and the wall thickness of the material appears thicker. It also had three finger "grooves" giving good grip with gloves on.This newer design is far less refined, a tad more bulky, appears more flimsy.The new lanyard isn't sown in, but is a attached with a key ring (not sturdy, not flimsy) instead. It adds a snagging point, but you could live with that. What makes the new lanyard hopeless, is that has a plastic "pull" toggle on the other end, so if you apply even a moderate amount of force it would pop open and you might loose the whistle.It's one of those products where the mantra "if it ain't broken, don't fix it" applies. It was practical, well thought out at a perfect price. The new one is designed to fail.Perhaps that's the reason why Lifesystems had to change the design, turnover!Won't buy again.Also: I fixed my old one by softening the plastic with a lighter, and bending the end up a little, so I can slip it on a strap again with one hand. I'll keep using that one for as long as I can!
