Thomas the Tank engine has been around for decades, and some may consider this 'Thomas and Friends Toy Train 3-Pack' as not "their Thomas", but any fan that has followed the character over the years since their youth will know that the look and feel has changed many times from the books, to the stop motion, to the CGI and now the cartoon look. I can say that the new fun vibrant version of Thomas is as good as ever.This triple set is perfect for a fan who already has some of the Thomas track as they are compatible. The quality is the high standard of the fisher-price Thomas toys and continues with the nicely weighted diecast models. They look great, just like the characters from the show. There is extra fun to be had in the colour changing element which works well. I am not sure if you can implement water play into using the trains on one of the tracks, but you could play with these in the bath. Three really well made models that are perfect for the newest fans of Thomas.

Had a blast with these in the bath tub and they're really well made so likely to last a good long while making them worth the price. The colour change is a bit disappointing and we like the original ones better as they're more vivid but the little ones had fun watching it happen. The carriages are brightly coloured, some sparkly and they give off a steam in water! Great gift for Thomas fans so would be happy to recommend.

My friends 4-year-old boy loves everything to do with Thomas the tank engine and he was delighted when he received this set of three train engines, which includes what he considers to be the most important one, which is of course Thomas!Each of these three models are made with a combination of metal and plastic and they look and feel very robust. The wheels turn nicely and the trains can be pushed across the floor with ease.These train toys are slightly different to the usual ones in that they can change colour in hot and cold water.I filled a bowl with warm water at a safe temperature of just under 40°C and immersed the trains one by one into the bowl. The colours change immediately and it is particularly noticeable on the face of each character. Unfortunately, my friends little boy was not as impressed because the colours were no longer original and he didn’t like the new look. I thought that the original colours would return quite quickly but after an hour they hadn’t changed. I then filled the bowl with cold tap water and dropped in several ice cubes. As soon as the trains went into the cold water, they retuned to their correct colours and my friends little boy was happy again. Phew!Fisher Price are renowned for producing top quality toys and this set of three tank engines are of no exception, but I do feel that the colour changing ability is something that children will lose interest in after a while. My friends little boy is happier for them to remain their original colours and Thomas now travels everywhere with him because he has found it is the perfect size to fit in his coat pocket!I did think that the current price of £22.86 seemed quite expensive, but I have shopped around and haven’t yet found it at a better price anywhere else.

Thomas has been popular since I was a child and I love the fact that they can find new designs to keep children interested and loving it. These are from the popular brand Fisher price so you can expect high quality and extremely durable, This is a 3 pack of push along engines that are diecast and also colour change. Each train looks incredibly like the character from the TV show. My friends little boy had great fun dunking these and watching the colour change and being only three he was really impressed. Any Thomas loving child we think these are great.
