My puppy Lab Rtriever is growing up fast and has now become strong on the lead!I decided to research online information of dog head collars. Some opinions stated that these collars are cruel and dismiss them, whilst many more consider them a valuable contribution to improving the control and reduced hard pulling when on the lead.Further, I talked to fellow dog walkers, and they all agreed that the dog head collar is well worth having. So armed this this information I looked online to choose one.Eventually I decided on the Halti Optifit Headcollar. The additional feature of an adjustable head strap seemed the best choice for me as size measurements taken from a supplier may sometimes be questionable.Delivery took 2 weeks due to being out of stock but that’s hardly Amazon’s fault.The head collar is fairly light with strong flat material. Some reviews have commentated that it looks flimsy and has easily been chewed through by even small dogs and puppies.I feel this statement is a tad unfair as it clearly states on the instruction not to leave your dog unattended with the headcollar on to avoid damage by chewing! (see attached image).Imo, the Halti dog collar is well made, and the flat tape design is deliberate so that it fits the dog’s nose more closely with less hindrance to the dog’s line of sight. The adjustable locking padded nose strap offers better fitting around the nose with two fingers slack for mouth movement then locked in position Imo, this lighter and slimmer headcollar makes for a more comfortable fit for your dog.There are many different makes of head collars on the market at present and all have their virtues and faults depending on your point of view.For me, this type offers what I'm looking for and only time will tell if lives up to my expectations. I already have a Halti 2-clip training lead - so every bit helps!

These really do transform dogs that pull. I have a 1 year old Labrador that can pulls like a train but popping this on stops her pulling and transforms her into an angel on the walking front.2 minor problems, my dog clearly finds it uncomfortable - the main reason for this is that the piece that attaches from the muzzle to the collar is quite long so hangs down. When she walks with her head down sniffing around like a fool, her feet can get caught under it. You can tie knots in it to stop this to some degree but it isn't adjustable.The second is that it is a little fiddly to set up in the first place. This does mean that it can be tuned to the length and circumference that suits you dog - other than the previously mentioned strap - but takes a while in the first instance.Overall worth a try if your dog pulls.

Purchased for energetic puppy and it works perfectly for my wife to use, no more pulling from puppy

The piece around the nose snapped during its first use - and my dog wasn't pulling at all. I am therefore disappointed with the quality/durability of this product. And this is the second time it has happened - the same thing happened to the first Halti I bought.

Holly is better with this one than previous ones where she constantly dragged her face along the ground to get it off. It fits better, looks better and more important I’m back in control on dog walks

If I could give - stars I would. The product simply isn't fit for purpose. The material is incredibly weak and flimsy. The plastic as as cheap and brittle you could find and the rings wouldnt be fit for a key ring let alone a labrador. I had to to triple check I had bought a legit halti product. This is something you would find in a Christmas cracker and still be disappointed. The marketing and box say it can be used on labradors. Alsations big dogs the like. Again I had to double check I hadn't bought a child's toy or something to restrain a dead chihuahua. If I could get a refund for the time wasted watching halti propaganda and reading the box, (which is border line lies) I would.Didn't even get round the block before he ripped it and chewed it apart. If you have anything vaguely resemble a dog don't buy this God awful product.

This is this great to use when walking dogs. Our dog really pulled and didn’t make walking enjoyable. Which this she is much better and walks well. Easy to put on and adjust, material is great quality and looks good too. Most importantly our dog is comfortable wearing it and doesn’t try to pull it off.

Have a Daschund stubborn as anything , will not recall so I thought I would try this to give more control. The sizing was great the item was very lightweight and appeared to be comfortable to wear. Which following the instructions I did and he was ok to put it and wear it in the house, but as soon as the lead was clipped on he just laid down. I extended the time I left it on but even after half an hour he still was having none of it, but would quite happily eat the treats for being a good boy and wearing it😂 he would have become obese rather than walk with this on so I stopped using it. With the right dog it could be useful

Cumple con su función perfecto!! A mis peritos les costó un poco de trabajo acostumbrarse al halty pero desde la primera vez que lo usaron vi una gran diferencia!! No más Jalones, caminan junto a mi sin querer salir corriendo, no les lastima nada y los puedo controlar con solo un pequeño gesto de la correa. MUCHAS GRACIAS POR ESTE EXCELENTE PRODUCTO!!Quiero hacer notar que no es para dejarlo permanentemente puesto en el pero, se usa para sacarlos a pasear, y trabaja junto con el collar. Luego se quita al terminar el paseo, y si esta bien colocado el Perro no puede morderlo no romperlo. Leer las instrucciones te da una buena idea de cómo colocarlo y cómo se usa.También revisar bien las tallas, compré la pequeña para mi corgi y la mediana para mi pero grande, y les quedan perfecto!!

Me he quedado boquiabierta 😯😲 Tengo un cruce de pastor Alemán y Belga que tiene 7 años y no quiere dejar de tirar, bueno, hasta hoy 😎 me era muy muy difícil ir de paseo con el carrito de bebé en una mano y en la otra el perro tira que tira. Hoy me ha llegado el collar, y después de dar cabezadas, tirar marcha atrás, entendió que tenía que ir a mi lado y tranquilo. Ahora ya podemos ir a más lejos , mi bebé, mi perro y yo. Recomendable 100% Estos inventos son de agradecer 👍🏼👌🏼

dopo cinque giorni di utilizzo, posso dire il miglior acquisto effettuato!!!! Solo portandolo si è calmato, e soprattutto quando vede altri cani non si agita più come prima, è molto più educato e sembra perfino più rilassato! Ft qualche mese, dirò come ata andando blue bond, australian cuttle dog.
