The handle is long and strong. It can hold up to some good use. I have a rabbit whose favorite pastime is shedding hair and eating snacks. She does the former better than the latter.This carpet rake exceeded my expectations. The head is metal, which made me unsure of how it would treat my carpet. The grating sound sounds rough but is actually doing no harm to the carpet. Very pleased to see the way it pulls hairs so quickly.

This is amazing! I have a long haired dog and plush carpeting. The hair would get caught in the rollers of my vacuum and I would have to cut the hair that was wrapped around the rollers. The volume of dog hair that my dog sheds on the carpet was a huge problem! In 15 minutes I can now do my large bedroom and remove the dog hair. I can then vacuum the carpet with ease to pick up the dirt and dust. The reviews of many of the carpet rakes said that the pole was not sturdy. I saw a good review for this rake and I was impressed. It is extremely sturdy and works well. It even came with 2 strong wall hanging hooks! This carpet rake saves my back and is wonderful! I used it on my stairs holding the handle at the height needed and also used it on my large bedroom thick pile carpeting. I used to go on my hands and knees with a brush! No more! It is so fast and easy. My dog has a large carpet remnant that he lies on in the kitchen. That was cleaned in 2 minutes. I highly recommend this product from this seller. It was a reasonable price and it works great and is extremely sturdy!

I’m honestly at a loss for words at the amount of fur this pulled out of my rug. We have a 70lb dog and two cats, and all of them shed a lot. I vacuum at least every other week, but usually weekly, and I do a deep clean and shampoo of the rugs every six months or so. The dog spends a lot of his time lying around on the living room rug, and the cats go under the couch constantly. I used this rake only 3 days after I last vacuumed and it pulled up so much fur that I could have made a third cat out of it! The majority of it came from the spot under the couch where the cats roll around. It was disgusting but so satisfying! After raking, I vacuumed and shampooed and the rug looked brand new for the first time in years.I gave it 4 stars because the quality could be better. As I raked, the screwed-in pieces of the rod came loose pretty quickly, and the top cap came off a couple of time while I was raking.But the results were worth it. I will be using this every time I vacuum, now. I am so impressed.

Effectiveness:Love! I vacuum everyday, but my vacuum does not pick up all the hair and I cant really blame it. Both my boyfriend and I have long hair, so we shed when we brush, I'd vacuum but I could still feel hair strands on my bear feet when walking. Absolutely annoying. I found this little guy and it worked like a charm! Love that the bristles are gentle on carpet. Highly recommend!

It works very well, I have 5 cats. It doesn’t matter how many times I vaccum this carpet. Hair gets stuck in it. This only took me about 10 minutes so fully crape all that hair! It’s so easy to use. Going to have to go over my carpet a few times. But it’s already looking brand new again! I love it!!

I had high hopes for this. We have two long hair cats and struggle with our Dyson to collect their shedding. This tells you something. Sigh.This item does the job but requires significant effort. We have dense, low pile wool area rugs and must really use pressure to adequately pick up the cat hair. Recently we tried a shop vac on dry mode and that sucker worked a miracle. For anything but an urgent touch up, the shop vac will be my go to.

Okay. Silly confession time. I don’t actually have any furry companions. I bought this tool to see how well it would work picking up my human hair from my carpets. I have long, very thick curly hair. I keep ruining vacuum cleaners. The beater brush gets so tangled up with hair, and I actually burned out the motor of my last vacuum because it had to strain so hard with hair clogging everything up.It should also be noted that shoes are not allowed to be worn in my house. I despise carpeting. Whoever invented it was not very bright. Carpets are like dirty underwear you can never change. I hate it.So this carpet rake came today, and I put it together in less than a minute. I began to use it immediately on the 3 foot by 2 foot area of carpet outside my bathroom door where my hair accumulates the most. I had already vacuumed 3 days ago, but some hair had already begun to collect.You guys. I was gobsmacked. Not only did it remove the hair I could see, it found embedded hair that was hiding inside the carpet pile. It also removed a huge handful of dust and other light soil that you’d think wouldn’t be there after traditional vacuuming. It was gross!I proceeded to spend the next hour trying it out in other rooms. It pulled out two large handfuls from my living room carpet. Yuck yuck yuck yuck yuck!!! It feels quite sturdy, and I didn’t have any issue with the handle other reviewers have mentioned. It is ridiculously easy and fast to use, and you don’t have to press down hard at all to get awesome results. It came with two adhesive backed clear hooks to hang it up in a convenient location; I put mine inside the door of my linen closet. And I can’t even begin to tell you how incredibly satisfying it was to see all that crap coming out of my carpet. I would recommend having a little handheld dust buster to pick up the finer particles getting removed, or using a regular vacuum after you’re all finished.I’m taking this to my friends house this weekend. She has a Husky. I can’t wait to show it to her. It could really be a big help. I hope she likes it and gets one too.

Amazing product! Gets all the lab fur out of the carpet. Highly recommend, the only complaint is that the top eye part to hang it comes off super easy.
