A Solid Player For An Inexpensive Price

This record player was exactly what we needed. Easy to assemble and operate for our growing vinyl collection. The sound is great and it was simple enough to hook up to speakers for a more surround sound effect. My only minor complaint is that the needle doesn’t return to its holster after the record has finished. There also isn’t a sound that chimes when the player comes on, or finishes playing, alerting you to turn the record over. Like I said, minor. This is a great player for any vinyl enthusiast.

Best all in one available

Unbelievably clear sound and great bass for an all in one unit

A pleasant surprise

"All in one speakers suck", "Angels Horn is a terrible Chinese Brand" were all comments I read on Reddit after ordering this record player. I was worried it would sound bad, but I quickly found out otherwise. I watched the setup video, which was ok but missed some parts. So I went back and fixed those parts. All in all took about 15 minutes to setup. My first record I played was DAMN by Kendrick Lamar. Let me preface this by saying I listen to a lot of music on my airpods pro 2. I always thought those were amazing quality but in my opinion the speakers on this sounded better. The music came out so clearly and hit all the vocals perfectly. Doesn't skip and sounds just perfect. I'm sure it could sound a lot better if there were external speakers (I'm no expert). But if you're gifting or have a tight space/budget, this is the record player to buy. Sound fills room and spins at the right speed. Bluetooth is ok, the speakers seem to lose a lot of quality when playing the same song from Bluetooth vs from vinyl. So VInyl wins! Go angel horn!

This is not for the audiophile, it is for the person getting into vinyl and wants a little more.

First off this is a good turntable. It's not great though. Expect to pay around $500 or more for a great turntable. It is however a good, solid turntable, for the money paid. I paid around $230 for this. I don't regret it. Lets give you the run down, the pros and cons, and the i don't knows.First, some assembly is required. It comes in two boxes, a box within a box. It is packed in styrofoam to keep it safe, and it is packed well. The platter, belt, counter weight are all not installed when it arrives. A quick youtube search, or a glance at the instructions will help you with this. The hardware: This is made in China I believe, at least that's the contact on the website- but let me state this right off the bat- This ain't no Victorola. This is much better. The tone arm is metal, The needle that comes with it is the standard Audio Technica AT3600L- this can be upgraded to a better needle. The counterweight is well... we'll get to that. The internals are okay, again, you are paying for a midrange turntable. The good news is that all the parts can be purchased from Angels Horn, and the customer support, so I've heard is great. This includes the power brick, the motor and the parts. The setup: Expect a little bit of a learning curve, if you aren't new to vinyl then disregard this. It does require the use of a protractor to calibrate the needle (this is included in the box- youtube will show you how to do this). It does require a counter weight (also included, and can be youtubed), you might want to get a scale and calibrate that too as I found mine was a little off. There is also a dust cover for the turntable included which is super easy to install. Setup took a little while for me, I spent more time on the calibration- make sure to check with the audio technica website for the tracking force requirements on the needle, I think it is 2.5 grams. The counterweight is super sensitive too, it took some time to get it right, it seemed it liked being a little on the heavy side to make it sound good and avoid skipping. The features: This turntable does 33, and 45. It DOES NOT do 78. For me, that was fine. It also has blue tooth in- NOT OUT. Again, for me this was not an issue- I expected this. I use an amp with external speakers. Unexpectedly, they actually worked in tandem with the internal speakers which was cool (I got sound through the amp and the turntable at the same time). There's not much else to this.Aesthetics: I like the aesthetics of this machine. It doesn't look like it was designed by Icelandic artisans, it's not a funky shape to promote unique sound. It is however clean, and looks nice. It has a nice weight and feels premium when you use it. The parts seem well put together and nothing sticks out. Wood looks real and feels real- not sure if it is.Now, the sound part: The sound is again, good, but not great. It is lightyears above a Crossly or a Victorola. But it is not a Technics turntable so don't expect that kind of sound from it. The volume is good, but you wont be banging the neighbor's walls down with it- the base is mid level with this, it's there, but it isn't going to vibrate the house. If you love more base in your music you might want to pass, or get an amp and some subs. The clarity it surprising for this thing. It is super clear. I was genuinely happy with it. Treble is not overpowering either and doesn't scratch the ear drums when it plays. It is well balanced and sounds really nice. Even when I hooked it up to the amp and the sound bar, it sounded great. There is one thing that was hard for me. This thing is very sensitive, it skipped if I stepped too hard next to it, that might be my records, but I doubt it. You will want to get a record weight for the spindle and set it on something that is solid. Once I used my record weight and put it on the heavy entertainment center this issue disappeared for the most part. I am upgrading the needle in this machine, so I am curious to see what that does for it.Conclusion: This was worth what I paid for it. I would not have paid more than $240 for this machine. I like it, it sounds good, and plays well. At least mine did. I am not an audiophile, but I do love me some Vinyl, and this did the job nicely.

Worth every penny

The sound and build quality for an all-in-one player is outstanding, vastly superior to the competition. This is an excellent option if you have limited space or don't wish to buy an amp. We had a problem with some degree of warp in the turntable and the manufacturer shipped a replacement very quickly. The machine requires minimal assembly and is easy to operate.

Dead After Nine Months

The Whole Thing Just Died at 9 months. I bought and paid $239 for this AT-3600L back around 24MAY2024. It arrived quickly and it was not difficult to assemble despite the goofy manual. The turntable played beautifully for approximately nine moths until 25FEB2025...then it just died. I started playing HOLST: The Planets with Bernstein when I was getting some morning chores done (making bed, kitchen, etc...) and I noticed there wasn't any music at all. The first track "Mars" played as expected but midway into "Venus" the music was noticeably absent. I went to check on the record when I noticed the needle arm was stopped midway through. I lifted the arm and restarted the record, again the first 5-6 mins play okay but the whole unit just dies after 10-12 mins. I have tried multiple different vinyl LPs and they all do it now where they played 100% fine for 9+ months until 25FEB2025.In correspondence with Angels Horn via email, chat and text...I have been "gaslighted" by the usual tech support crap: where did you buy it? what was your order number? try watching a YOuTube video! INFURIATING!I managed to find a really nice vintage KLH Fifteen on eBay that was lovingly restored by a professional in Essex Junction, VT. Paid $818 so the Angels Horn AT-3600L will go to Goodwill or thrift shop! I cannot recommend Angels Horn
