Is it worth it? Maybe, with new earbuds.

We have a 3 piece band and wanted to try using IEM's instead of monitor wedges for live performances. I ordered these, to see if they were any good. So they seem to be okay as far as setup goes. Nice build quality. I have only tested them, to date, in my home studio and I can say without any doubt that the earbuds are HORRIBLE. These things would probably be the same quality as a $9.99 pair you get at the store while in the check out line. Terrible! My first impression was that this system is horrible. The sound was extremely high pitched with treble... no bass at all. It sounded terrible. It sounded like a cheap little radio speaker. I tested the receiver using my studio headphones, which have a 3.5mm plug in addition to 1/4in. The sound was actually pretty nice! THROW THE EARBUDS IN THE GARBAGE. Plan on buying a good pair of earbuds with a 3.5mm plug. You'll spend between $65.00 to $125.00 on them but it will be worth it.So is this worth is as it comes out of the box? NO. Absolutely not. It's a starter setup that needs earbuds. So once you buy earbuds...you'll add another $300.00 to $400.00 to price. Are the ones for a couple hundred bucks better? Probably not. I imagine, unless you're going to spend over $1,400.00 on a set...you'll probably need to upgrade all of the earbuds.

I love Debra

The media could not be loaded. The set up for this Debra ER-102 is very simple. Perfect for first time user! The signal transmission is stable and the sound is very clear. I did encounter a bit signal interference, but problem solved when I adjusted the frequency. Everything is so simple! If you want a better sound quality, you can use better headphones, just my personal advice... very satisfied with this product for this price!

Great low-cost option for amateur gigs, decent sound, but has limiter and interference issues

As a musician who plays progressive rock with lots of time signature changes, it’s vital to be able to hear everyone in a band at all times. I’ve played countless gigs where the sound system didn’t allow me to hear properly resulting in the band sounding not as tight as we could be. Given the chance to try out these D Debra dual channel IEM system with 4 body packs, I jumped at the opportunity to see if it would solve the issues. This system really is a cost-effective, entry-level option for small to medium-sized venues. It really is more for recreational or amateur use more than anything. The performance is fairly reliable in terms of signal range and the volume is okay, but the earbuds that are included are not great at all. Thankfully you can replace those easily. The biggest issues I’ve experienced are signal dropouts, especially if you hit higher volumes. You’d hope the system would just clip but this one's limiter simply cuts out the sound out completely for about a second. In most circumstances this isn’t an issue, though for my purposes, sometimes even one second at the wrong moment can really make it difficult to stay in sync with other players.Another issue I found is that the body packs can cause interference with other wireless devices. The singer I work with uses a wireless microphone and he had enough interference issues that he chooses not to use the IEM. Luckily the rest of the band doesn’t have a problem, but if you plan on using wireless devices for your instruments, I would definitely recommend something else.Overall, for an entry-level system, this D Debra unit does a fairly good job and is priced about where I would expect. It really isn’t built for professional gigs or situations where you may need other wireless systems at the same time, but I’d still recommend if you need to have multiple monitors and don’t have the budget to spend the money on a more recognizable name brand model.
