Excellent looking, functional bass -- and beautiful too!
I bought this because I liked the blue/green color, the white perloid pickguard, and the white inlays on the fretboard. I also liked the symmetrical body shape, and the fact that the pickups are Precision/Jazz (PJ). The only ingredient missing is that it's not short scale like I prefer. But I can tolerate that. It sounds decent enough, and one thing that really suprised me is that the entire package that came is so small and light. The accessories -- the amp, gig bag, strap, and power cord, are all rather inexpensive and cheap feeling, but what do you expect for $100? I didn't buy the bass for these add-ons, so their cheap feel didn't affect my rating. The gig bag fits the bass, unlike the Glarry short scale bass I also purchased and made into a piccolo bass.I needed to adjust the intonation and like many basses I own, the bass has a lot of fret buzz on the Low #'s F, F#, and G on the first, second, and third frets. But this buzz doesn't come through the amp, fortunately. I will probably play with the action and saddle height to see if I can get rid of the buzz, but I am still happy with the bass overall, particularly for the price I paid.By the way, I am a former semi-pro bass player who gigged regularly until Covid hit. I also build instruments. Through my building, I learned how "similar" cheap and expensive basses and guitars are. I believe there is a lot of hype about brands, and I am happy to use low-end basses for recording and also performing live for paying customers. The major difference is in the sound of the pickups and how well the instrument plays due to its setup. Another thing to consider is hum -- this bass does have hum like all other single coil pickups. If you want to get rid of it, you would have to replace the pickups with humbuckers and sheild the bass.Overall, a nice addition to my growing collection of basses, and one that I love to just look at as it hangs on the wall of my music room.

big chunky neck for big chunky paws. nice bass
smart buy. all this stuff for under 100 bucks. quality was there and the neck is beefy, so if you have big paws you, you will love the p- feel. i went and bought an aftermarket jazz style neck for it. and the neck slid in perfect. i dabble in luither, so i know quality, so there were alot of sharp fret ends.

Very good bass for the price amp is quite small
We have replaced the amp because it was way too small for what we needed. I bought this base as a starter for my 14-year-old son. He absolutely fell in love with it. We have started getting him lessons And everyone at the music store and his teacher were impressed that this was an Amazon buy for under a hundred bucks for both. We have upgraded his to something for Christmas that he'll receive during then but overall it produces great sound and it's the perfect learning bass.

Great, beginner bass guitar
My son wanted to learn how to play the bass guitar. We bought this so he could practice on and find out if it was something he wanted to pursue. After receiving it it’s actually a really good quality and my son loves it. Eventually, it will be replaced, but this is great to learn on.

Cheap, functional, nice sounding beginner bass
In general: Purchased primarily to see what these cheap bass guitars were like. I don't like round wound strings, so I put on flats. Since this was a test to see what a cheap bass can do, I found the cheapest flat wounds, Fender long scale 9050's. The original strings were ok, but i hate round wound strings. While stated color was blue, this is definitely green! The Positive:-For an instrument this cheap, the body is nicely contoured front and back making it very comfortable to play.- neck to body fit is excellent, as is the finish , and attractive 3 layer pearl pick guard.- excellent tone control.- lots of sustain- frets are surprisingly smooth along edgesThe Not so positive:-nut end of fretboard was a bit rough (taped, re colored the edge)- the bridge holes for the E and A strings too small for wrapped ends of the new strings (drilled slightly larger holes to accommodate strings)- Intonation was difficult, requiring some compromise.-the fret board looks quite nice after a rub with oil, with one small imperfectionAs for the included Amp and accessories:The Amp: total junk. Worse sounding thing I've ever heard. No bass, low volume. The cord is ok, works but poorly assembledThe strap: works but is horrible. Thin, slippery, cheap crap. The pick and capo...who cares. Don't use them. Conclusion: surprisingly good sounding bass, comfortable to play.If your looking for an inexpensive instrument, one these may do nicely. But, DO NOT buy as a kit. Buy the bass, invest in a good padded strap, and a name brand amp (small Fender, Ampeg, Ibanez, etc).

Great bass
This bass was better than i expected. Tuned it up and it played perfect out the box the amp is a great practice amp. Added bonus for me is the raw unfinished neck. Electronics are t the best but I knew that going in planning on gutting it and replacing with higher end pickups. Very happy
