DJILavalier Mic - Compatible with DJI Mic 2

The mic has a good length of cable with a high quality jack plug connector. It has a detachable clip which has a good grip when using the mic on clothing. As you would expect , the mic has a small form factor even with the included wind shield so it certainly looks good and it works seamlessly with the DJI Mic2 giving very clear audio and no connection issues at all. I think this is a very good value mic from DJI which renders good quality audio.

This is an interesting one. I can't always tell that much of a difference when I listen to an interview with me using the mic 2 to ask questions on it's own vs the mic 2 on the subject with this mic attached however there is still definitely an improvement in clarity, especially when positioned pointing directly at the subject's mouth, rather than underneath clipped on to a shirt or jacket. Not really the way it's intended to be used but it's become a bit of a trend to do so anyway and if you don't want to join that trend you could use the mic for voice over parts and hold it that way for extra clarity.I actually noticed a big difference when I used this external mic to pick up audio of a question from the audience at an event I filmed vs the other mic 2 at a similar distance without an external mic. The Mic 2 without it sounded much more muffled. So it showed a big different in the clarity and depth in that instance. It's a nice affordable upgrade for content creators or video experts who want to make those little adjustments to get better quality. In comparison to another lav mic option, the Tascam DR10L, the Mic 2 doesn't hold up as well even with the external mic although they both capture 32bit float audio.I like having the reasurance that my audio is unlikely to clip on all the lavs I have in my kit now. The Tascam has better clarity and depth but it is priced higher so is understandable.

The DJI series are good microphone sets, but they are visible. This lavallier helps to hide the bulky unit and so far no noticeable degredation of sound. Very happy.

I've tried multiple cheap mics and the Sennheiser ME2, none of which are compatible. The cheap ones have issues with the audio signal and the ME2 doesn't connect properly due to the locking connector. The DJI mic is of course compatible and does a decent job for the price. I'd prefer it was smaller for discrete placement, but again, it's a cheap mic. The sound is as good as you'd hope for.

DJI lavalier mic.Good price and perfectly matched with the original DJI Mic and the newer Mic 2, and the SNR is perfectly acceptable. I believe you won't find a better sounding lav mic in this sub-£40 price range.Let's face it, if you're using 2.4Ghz radio mics you're not recording high-end programme content in acoustically-sterile environments you're probably shooting corporate videos etc. where a bit of background noise is expected. When I don't have the budget for a proper soundie with a set of £2k+ per channel UHF mics I use 2.4Ghz units like the DJI Mics, and this Lavalier works perfectly with them. They're a bit larger than some pro mics but if you're clipping to black clothing you're not going to notice.
