Handy Projects for Boys: More Than 200 Projects Including Skis, Hammocks, Paper Balloons, Wrestling Mats, and Microscopes

This is more for teenagers.

Do NOT give this to anybody, hoping they will enjoy doing these projects. Some of the projects are potentially deadly, such as "homemade electric stove", or "how to make an electric toaster". They should NEVER be given to a young person to try to make by themselves. There are other projects as well that deal with wiring to 110 voltage. They also have sick projects that are just plain wrong, such as one telling you how to electrify the top of a fence to keep cats out of your yard, adding that you can add more batteries to boost up the charge. Even if you ignore the electronic projects, most all of the projects in this book have very tiny, brief illustrations that are just enough to give you a vague idea of what you need to make the project. Some have no illustrations at all. And to top it off, most of the descriptions on how to make the projects are so vague, that it would be nearly impossible to make them, as well as being very frustrating. I highly do NOT recommend this book to anyone.

Great little reprint, love some of the projects. Mostly the one about using a shotgun shell and making a dummy launching cannon for kids. Was written long before people lost their minds and blame things instead of people for the wrongs they do :)

I was interested in buying a book for my son but the title bothered me because I have a daughter and I plan to pass the book on to my daughter and I don’t think it’s good for her to see that these types of things are only boys can do
