An old standby signal diode
I have been using these and others in the series (1N4001-1N4004) for both professional and personal projects for over 40 years. Super reliable for relay bypass and general signal use. Just need to select the one that has sufficient breakdown voltage to work with the highest voltage it could see in the circuit. NTE has been a trusted manufacturer for decades.

Used for Car Alarm Sirens
Purchased these diodes for use in my car alarm system to run a pair of sirens in a single system. They seem to do the job in isolating each siren. I'm happy with the outcome. To install them you will need to have some knowledge of using a soldering tool. Whatever your intended use for them there really is no way around installing them without soldering it onto the wiring or board.
