Great strap to give you extra security when you don't want to use a full camera strap!
First, Peak Design does a great job with design and quality of their camera accessories, this hand strap is no exception. It's quick and easy to install/uninstall, is adjustable for hand size, and feels very secure. I bought this for when I don't want to have a full sized strap on my camera(also a Peak Design product and also easy to install/uninstall). The full size strap can tend to get in the way and this hand strap frees the camera up while still providing security that should I get bumped into, or my hands get sweaty, I don't have to worry about dropping $7k worth of camera gear onto the payment. Very happy with this strap!

fit, form and function
A bit expensive, yes, but I have to say that now that I've used it, I'd never be without it. It just feels right. Solidly constructed, easily adjusted on the fly. The small Arca plate that fastens it to the body is handy, I never have to remove this "clutch" to use a tripod.

Works well on Canon EOS R
I do macro photography and I use the Canon EOS R, flash, MK Diffuser and occasionally extension rings/ raynox 250. There are times when I am holding this heavy setup with my right hand and maneuvering what the subject is on with my left. My arm gets fatigued quickly as you can imagine due to not only holding the weight of this setup one handed but gripping with my palm and bottom 3 fingers as I use my thumb for the dials and index finger for shutter. There have been many times I have had to walk away from the composition I was attempting because my forearm and grip was simply shot out from this and I could not afford my grip failing and dropping my gear. This strap helps a great deal as now I can I let the strap take the brunt of the weight and not spend so much energy in my grip. The result is the ability to hold the camera into position longer before fatigue sets in and allows me to stay out in the field longer. This strap works well with the 3 legged thing / peak design setup I use ( I did not need the plate that came with this item ). I also do Landscape photography and can set my arca swiss / peak design base right in my tripod with the strap cable attached without any issues. - Instagram @timkelley_photography for more shot results using this product.

Doesn’t do well with all designs.
Hopefully this review is helpful. I am using a Nikon Zf c that features a shutter button and classic knobs on the top. I didn’t think about this when purchasing but the clutch design forces me to use a thumb to capture with the cameras design.Unless you use your thumb I wouldn’t recommend for a Nikon Zf camera.Overall great product however!

Secure comfortable grip
I had been searching for the Canon E 1 grip which is no longer made. This was the closest I could find. When I first took it out of the box I thought kinda of coated plasticky pad. However, once I had mounted on my Canon 5D mk iv and tested it out I changed my mind. It works great. Love the ability to quickly sinch it tight for carying and ability to loosen quickly for finger movements to access the buttons. It's part of a system and you can build upon it. I liked it so much I went out and purchased the sholder strap afterward.I recommend this product.

Must have for camera owners
This is by far my favorite accessory I have for my camera. So much more peace of mind holding a camera. Whether you are worried about dropping it or in crowded public place worried about someone swiping it out of your hand, this thing is great.

Cracked the mount on my X-T200
Was working great, until I looked at the bottom of my Fujifilm X-T200 and realized the tripod mount was cracked. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary, drop the camera, or otherwise use the product outside of its intended purpose, but it irreparably damaged my camera. Maybe it was because this is a more entry level camera and the body is plastic. Regardless, if there's a possibility of this happening it should be clearly communicated and stated on the product page, the product literature, and potentially the product itself. My camera tripod mount now wobbles if anything is attached, and I'm concerned that if I were to use it with a tripod, the mount my be ripped out entirely and cause the camera to fall from height, damaging it further. Consequently, I'm no longer comfortable using this camera's tripod mount due to the damage from the Peak Design clutch. Their carelessness here has effectively robbed me of some of my camera's functionality.I also own a Peak Design backpack, which I have loved, but these events have shaken my confidence in the company. I'll certainly think twice before purchasing one of their products again. I would strongly recommend that nobody, especially those with a plastic bodied camera, purchase this clutch or buy into the PD capture clip system to avoid the risk of serious damage to your gear. One side note for X-T200 owners. Even if you're willing to take the risk of cracking your tripod mount, the bottom mounting plate also covers the bottom door. This means that, while the plate is attached, you cannot remove the battery or SD card, meaning you have to wirelessly transfer images or transfer over USB-C. You also can't easily swap the battery, and have to do all charging via the USB-C port, which is a big problem given the small battery capacity of this camera. The only way to remove the bottom plate is by using an Allen wrench. This means you now have to carry around an additional tool, and unscrew and rescrew a plate to access your SD card or battery. This is an extremely inconvenient design for owners of the X-T200 or any other camera where the mounting screw is close to a bottom-mounted door. I would not recommend the product for this reason in addition to the damage to my camera.
