The hardware store near my home used to carry this can opener, then they went out of business.These do wear out over time after I'll say hundreds of cans. I ordered this one and its a perfect fit.I didn't even have to put a new mount on the wall. It does require the mount that comes with it, beats a plyers grip style opener any day.Im satisfied.

I've had my original wall can opener for over 40 years and loved it. The electric or hand held ones can't compare. When dirty, just take it off and throw in with your dish wash. So easy to use! I bought another one for myself and several others as gifts for people who said they loved mine. I highly reccommend!

After using several failed handheld designs, always at the worst possible moments, I was surprised by a fond memory from my childhood, opening cans with me Gran’s opener that was screwed onto the wall next to her pantry. This is simply the best designed can opener in inventive history. This device works perfectly every time. Never fails. Mounted on a solid surface, there’s not a can it can’t handle. Can’t recommend this product more highly, thx ✌🏽

It's difficult to use - when you clamp down to start opening the can, the can will slip out and fall. You have to hold it in place. I won't buy this one again. How many different Swingaway can openers are there and which one is the best?

I love everything from the lever to place the can on the opener to the easy turning handle. It works great and smoothly

I’ve been using wall mounted swingaway can openers since I was married in 1951. Sadly, this last replacement hasn’t met expectations. Whether this due to a decline in the brand or just the particular opener I received, I cannot say but it is disappointing.First, too often the can pops off the opener rathering staying put as the can rotates and has to be reinstalled to finish opening. The weight of the can doesn’t seem to matter.Second, the opener wants to jump up and down as the handle is turned. It’s as though the space on the wall mount is too large to hold the opener firmly though the wall mount space is identical to the old one.Despite the disappointing performance, a wall mounted opener remains my preference, particularly since the strength in my hands is not what it was.

I have heck of a time with those awful hand held can openers and we have purchased SOOOOO many. Just junk. This one reminded me of my folk's can opener in England growing up, so thought I'd give it a try. I love it. It's just like the one my folks had and so much easier to use. Arrived on time and as described. Seems pretty strong.

We purchased this opener because we love the old style restaurant openers. It's very fragile. You have to hold it carefully and support the can. It stopped working after about six months. It will no longer open the cans. It only cuts party of the life. It is now trash
