Q: Do you need a stand for this product?

I'd recommend it. I have one, and it works very well for me. There is no stand in the package, i.e., if you don't have a stand you need to find another way to "fix" the backdrop in some way and have it off the ground. My first approach was to use the original packaging the backdrop came in, i.e., I cut the sides down about a third, and used a suitcase to keep it from falling backwards. It worked but was not great.

Q: How do I get the wrinkles out?

I don't know if there is really a good solution for removing the wrinkles, for me they haven't been bad enough to effect my use of this as a green/blue screen. If you really need to remove them, I'd suggest using a steamer or maybe using a light spray of water followed by a hair drier on low heat or an iron. Unfortunately, when you fold the backdrop back up the wrinkles will probably come back. I have several of these pop-up kinds of backdrops and reflectors from a number of manufacturers, none of them are completely wrinkle free.

Q: Does it help make virtual backgrounds in Zoom look more natural?

Using an actual green or blue screen background in Zoom does look much better than "AI background replacement". With a green screen you don't get those weird fluttering edges around your head that can make it looks like your ears have disappeared. Just remember the green screen has to be well lit with a minimum of shadows to work well.
