Q: I am looking for cookie scopp that is lefty-friendly. Are these a good option?

I'm left handed and this scoop is really no different than any other disher in terms of being ambidextrous. If you use it left handed for hard ice cream you'll almost certainly bend the slider inside the scoop UNLESS you pull the handle closed first. Once you do that you essentially lose the feature of being able to easily release the ice cream from the scooper. Honestly i think the traditional one piece scoopers are best for lefties such as myself. I was very upset that this was advertised as left-friendly when it clearly was not!

Q: I have an old zeroll which measures 1-1/8" diameter. i need a smaller one for "bite sized" cookies. which one do i choose?

Your disher is a size 100. The smallest one I own is a size 110. It's diameter is just about an inch. I purchased it in a specialty store several years ago. It produces a cookie about 2".

Q: is this a 2 Tablespoon scoop?

According to the chart at https://www.webstaurantstore.com/guide/717/kitchen-scoop-and-disher-guide.html the black handled scoop is 2-1/4 tablespoons. So you could use that or the next smaller size, Mushroom (#36) for 1-3/4 tablespoons. your choice.

Q: What is the size (in Tbsp or tsp) of each scoop?

the last number in the number listed is the size to fill a quart. It's a number 30 size disher. On their website, it tells you this. They don't have numbers on the sweep as most do. Good dishers though! For soft stuff, not hard ice cream. I use them for putting batter/dough on they sheet pan or griddle. I like them. As I understand, it's how many scoops make a quart. The black one is 30 to a quart. Also shows fluid ounces. Black is 1 ounce which is close to 2 tablespoons.
