Makes a huge difference! Highly recommend!
I live in an environment that's very muggy/humid in the summer, yet chilly in the winter... So anytime in the summer that my window unit isn't running, it feels humid in that room because of the paper thin window unit seals, and in the summer, I have to fully remove the window unit because it essentially makes my room feel like the artic tundra. This item has already made such a difference in the ONE WEEK that I've had it installed. The insulation panels are thick and secure, easy to cut, and block out all humidity from outside... So I anticipate that having this installed will also save me some money on my power bill now that A/C & heat can't seep through the window unit cracks and thin lining. I highly recommend this product! Easy to install, great look, and fair price!

Looks great, works great
It looks great and installation is simple, zero complaints. I would recommend buying this kit over the other various pieces of insulating AC foam on Amazon. My one concern is I'm not sure if it's reusable or will need to be purchased again for next summer since I don't leave my ACs in year-round. Honestly, I would even consider purchasing it again if I needed to. It's a good product!

Breeze Stop Side Panels: Effective Insulation for Window AC Units in All Seasons
The Breeze Stop Surround Insulation Side Panels are a practical solution designed to seal the gaps around window air conditioning units, improving both insulation and energy efficiency year-round. This product consists of two side panels (18" x 10") and a top panel (36" x 1.75") that are easy to cut and fit over the existing plastic panels of window units. The panels are made from insulating foam covered with white vinyl, which blends seamlessly with most interiors.Key Features:Effective Insulation for All Seasons: These panels help keep out cold drafts in winter and prevent heat from entering during the summer, addressing the common problem of air leakage around window AC units. By ensuring a tighter seal, they help reduce energy consumption, making your home more energy-efficient.Simple Installation: The panels are designed to be easily cut to fit various window sizes, accommodating windows up to 36 inches wide. Installation is straightforward, and they adhere well to the AC unit, creating a secure, sleek fit.Aesthetic Appeal: Unlike other makeshift solutions like towels or foam blocks, Breeze Stop panels offer a clean, built-in look that matches indoor walls. The vinyl surface is also easy to clean, making maintenance hassle-free.Durability and Performance: Made from 1-inch thick insulating foam, these panels are built to last and provide year-round insulation, helping maintain a stable indoor climate.Ideal Use:This product is especially beneficial for people who live in regions with extreme seasonal temperature changes, as it enhances both the cooling and heating efficiency of window AC units.Final Thoughts:The Breeze Stop Insulation Kit is a well-designed, cost-effective solution for anyone looking to improve their window air conditioning setup, whether in the sweltering heat of summer or the chilly drafts of winter. It is user-friendly, blends aesthetically with home decor, and provides long-lasting insulation. While a bit pricier than some DIY options, its durability and clean finish make it a worthwhile investment for energy savings and comfort.

Wish I Knew About this Sooner!
Takes you a good while to set up and situate everything to you liking but it’s fairly easy and self explanatory. I used a kitchen knife to cut the pieces and had zero issues. My window looks so clean and sleek and I’m very excited to see how the insulation works to keep the hot air from an upcoming heatwave out! I just know those dingy AC side panels were letting out (and in) so much air before I installed these insulation panels.

Breeze Stop Surround Insulation Side Panels for Window AC Unit Indoor AC Works Great.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I bought one before and it worked great. I've only ever had this brand so I can't comment on others. But this one really dresses up the air conditioner installation and helps keeping out small flying insects that get in through the regular air conditioner side panels.

Checks the most important boxes!
Do I love the look of this? No. BUT I like the look of it one thousand times more than the accordion sides that accompany window AC units similar to mine. I decided to install a window unit in our main bedroom because our central unit has a difficult time keeping up in the scorching heat the Gulf Coast summers bring, especially in a home that's almost 100 years old. I am not a fan of the esthetics of a window unit or the inside air and dirt that sneaks in on the sides. This little contraption addressed the issues perfectly. Now I can be cool, stand the not so pretty look of the sides of the unit and keep the outside hot and humid air and dust where it belongs. Win, win, win!

I won’t buy this again next year
Installing this stuff to exactly fit around my window a.c. was hard work. Measurements must be exact…do not try to eyeball it, as the instructions suggest you might in some spots. It MUST be cut with a utility knife and, ideally, an T-square, and even then, the edges are a bit ragged. Once I had the side panels cut to the correct size, I had trouble getting the outside edges (the edges against the window trim) to stay put. I had to line the trim with double-sided tape and push and poke the panels until the tape found something to grab. I was about 85% satisfied with the appearance of the installation once I was through. Far better than the flimsy accordion panels that came with the air conditioner. The next day, I realized the *back* of the accordion panels are exposed on the outside. I can’t imagine they’ll hold up through a Midwestern winter. I had enough foam panel left from the kit, so once again, I measured and cut and wrestled with the panels to cover the outside of the accordion panels. I cut the pieces a tad wider than necessary and one edge fit into the channel for the screen (which can’t be lowered from the top window pane, obviously), so there’s a good chance everything will stay in place until next spring. Next year, I’ll save myself a lot of hassle and money and buy foam board and more double-sided tape. I do not plan to buy this kit again.
