The instructions lead you through calligraphy steps easily and thoroughly. Great diagrams, many different designs.

The author made calligraphy seem very feasible. I now understand that almost anyone can do it. Also, she used clear language that made sense. I am thinking about buying the paperback also. The author did a great job. There were no typos; therefore, the author had a good editor, or Eleanor was meticulous. I would recommend this book to anyone because it was a fun read, and it was fast. I finished the whole book in under 2hours. It deserved every star.

This is such a nice book to use with my granddaughter. She wants to learn calligraphy and has information that will help her as she practices. It is great for all ages. My sweetie is an 8th grader.

I have done calligraphy for years and appreciated the reference; however I was not prepared for the reaction of my 9-year-old granddaughter. She has her own materials and loves joining MeMe at the dining table for practice. I could not have purchased anything that would have provided this kind of good instruction...and quality time with a precious girl!jbw

This is a charming and informative book for anyone, not just kids, interested in learning how to actually do calligraphy, not just admiring the beauty of the lettering. I love this book, and have found it greatly helpful, informative, and entertaining as well. I give it my highest reommendation.
