Very efficient device, works very wellOnly criticism is the screws could be stronger, even when screwing into medium hard WOOD, the final screw head broke away. fortunately the other three held the main body into place.

Had years of asking my daughter to close the living room door. I decided to solve the issue by getting closer. Color blends in well with out decor. Very easy to fit however, I do need a bit more tension but I feel if I turn the bar another notch it may damage it. That said, the door does close but not fully because of the door handle catch is stiff so it's stopping it.Another slight niggle is, when the door closes, it does make a very slight rubbing noise when the bar slides along the plastic guide attached to the door. Not a deal breaker but it's there.Over all I'm happy, no more arguments and my thermostat in the hallway on the other side of the door now has a more constant temperature to work with lol

The media could not be loaded. Worth every penny, installation was simple, the tension on the spring is great, definitely does the job it was designed to do, low profile unit and the door has a slightly more noticeable resistance but that's to be expected.

Works okay but quickly developed a loud graunching noise. I pulled it apart and found the springs were not lubricated. A good smearing of Coppaslip grease did the trick!

Be warned that all this door closer may succeed in doing is breaking your door jamb and leaving you with holes in your door where you'd installed it. It may be OK if you just want to loosely close a door so it is not wide open, but the short arm is never going to have the leverage to completely close a door firmly. Certainly not any use if you are trying to install it on a fire door to close completely. Also be warned that it is very easy to trap your fingers underneath the strongly tensioned arm - I narrowly avoided injury. Finally, when I tensioned it, the door jamb, and even then there wasn't enough tension to push the door all the way closed.

Great item does exactly what it states, It closes the door and has great tension, and easy to install, and adjust and to fit. And it is certainly strong.

Closes the door perfectly without slamming with correct adjustments. Was worried as it was for a cheap lightweight door but all good. Dog can push it open too. As a previous reviewer said, to get rid of all noise open it up (1 screw) and grease the springs, now silent. Not that it was too noisy anyway. I have it set to close the door without clicking shut so the dog can open without me getting up. I did replace the screws with better ones that a power driver won't destroy, they are pretty cheap ones included. Time will tell on the quality of the springs
