Great Matte Moisturizer
This is a great moisturizer that truly does have a mattifying finish. I enjoy more mattifying moisturizers on days where I am wearing light makeup or have a more hydrating foundation so it doesn't get too "wet looking" on the skin. Loved that this is unscented, which is my personal preference especially for facial products. The moisturizer is thick, but absorbed nicely into the skin with no sticky residue (see photo of moisturizer rubbed in to my hand). Sometimes your skin has different needs for different days, seasons, or occasions. I go from dry to combo skin and found this to work great during both. I find that I go back and forth on desired looks (matte or glowy) so it is great to have options. I would repurchase this item.

Good for sensitive skin
Decided to give Image a try since Ive heard so many good things. I have sensitive skin and can’t use anything besides cetaphil and dove bar soap for skin care. Obviously I was taking a risk with this product but the ingredients are fairly clean so…why not?My skin’s pretty dry from pregnancy right now so I’m flying through moisturizer and I ended up really liking this one! I didn’t get a rash or immediately break out. It sits nicely on my face with it without makeup. No redness at all! The only downside is that it is less budget-friendly than what I was previously using so it may not always be a feasible option. A little does go a long way and I feel this will last me through a year but so do plenty of others so ill have to wait and see if ill be replenishing when I’m out. For now, I knocked off a star only for that but otherwise the product itself is pretty good! (And I love that its USA made).

Pricey, but works well to moisturize without feeling it on skin & under makeup!
This comes in a nice outer product box. It’s made in USA. Ingredients are listed on the product box but NOT on the tube so you’d need to keep the box around if you want to ever look at the ingredient list in the future. I would prefer the list also be on the actual product, but at least they’re on the product box. The ingredient list wasn’t on the product page at the time I selected this (and still isn’t at the time of writing this review). I feel like that should be included on the product page for any product, but especially at this price point. This comes in a plastic squeeze tube with a plastic lid that flips open and closed. There was a tinfoil safety seal underneath the lid. This has a very subtle, fresh scent to it. There’s no artificial fragrance, so it’s just the smell of the ingredients. It has a thicker, lotion consistency. But it starts to spread easily from the warmth of my skin. It quickly absorbs without leaving any kind of residue or tacky feeling to the skin. It worked well with my other skin care products without pilling at all.I have dry skin. In the summer it’s more normal to dry. But in my area, we had been going back and forth between cold and hot and only just recently started having consistently warm days, so my skin is still more on the dry side. Usually, I wouldn’t go for any kind of mattifying moisturizer. I mostly got this for my boyfriend. He is super picky about lotions/creams. He needs it for his face but he hates the way it feels when he applies it. So, I thought maybe this mattifying one would be a good option for him. I was right! He loved how it absorbed quickly, leaving no shine to his skin at all and no sticky/tacky feel, but still hydrated his skin. He’s been using it consistently, which says a lot! Usually he’ll try one once and never touch it again!I gave it a try on my nose and around my mouth area where I get oily and sweat when I work 12+ hour shift, and sometimes it’ll make my foundation kind of break apart. I thought it might work well as a kind of primer for that area. It did! It gave a nice smooth base for my foundation. Foundation went over it nicely. And I didn’t get any oil or sweat breaking up in the area.I was a little worried when I saw on the product page they said they were “clean clinical skin care.” I tend to avoid “clean” brands. There’s no regulated definition for “clean,” so brands can use whatever definition they want, which is usually whatever fits their agenda. Usually, these “clean” brands don’t have their products preserved well, so they go bad quickly, and when something shows signs of going off (like smelling weird, separating, etc.), it already went bad well before that….its just gotten so bad that it’s now showing noticeable signs like smell, separation, etc. And, the whole time it was bad before there were noticeable signs, I’d be using it on my face. So I just don’t like “clean” brands. But, if something from a “clean” brand catches my eye, I’ll look at the ingredients to see what preservatives it uses and make my decision. This product uses phenoxyethanol, caprylyl glycol, ethylhexylglycerin, sodium benzoate, and potassium sorbate. Given it has those, I feel pretty good about it lasting well.Overall, I think this is a great moisturizer! It’s great for people who want something to moisturize their skin while also not feeling or looking like they applied anything to their skin. It also works well under makeup for those who want a kind of moisturizer and primer in one! It’s pricey, but if that isn’t a factor, it works well!

Very fast to asbsorb. So light weight. Perfect for me to put on before sunblock. Sealed Product.
The item had a silver seal over the opening. I always look for this sort of thing, as it ensures me that it has never been used. Thank you for protecting consumers.Made in USA from globally sourced ingredients.Scent: It has a faint scent that is similar to lotion.Consistancy: Initially it comes out similar to a thick lotion, that is almost paste like. However, upon rubbing it in it feels like a lighter lotion, linger only for a few minutes. It absorbed very quickly, as it is light weight on the skin. It isn't heavy nor sticky. It's almost like I did not put it on.My skin feels a little bit softer. If you're someone that puts on sunblock afterwards, and are in a time crunch, this is something that settles very quickly, allowing me to put something over it, if needed.I love that aloe is the second ingredient.

Worked great but not compatible with my skin I guess
This lotion felt wonderful to use and was very moisturizing! It did help get rid of my shiny oily skin, and I also like the smell and how long it lasted, since I didn't need to reapply it all day long.Unfortunately, something in this (and a lot of other mattifying moisturizers) caused breakouts for me for some reason so I couldn't keep using it. I have very large pores and oily skin and think I'm just sensitive to one or two mattifying ingredients.Because I've always had a problem with shine, I am eager to find a way to reduce it and have ended up trying many mattifying moisturizing products over the years similar to this Clear Cell Mattifying Moisturizer, to see if they will help reduce shine and oil, but still provide decent moisturization. I tend to have trouble with any that use certain ingredients like starches to absorb the oil though I think.I'm still not super familiar with all the starch-like ingredient names, but they must clog my pores because they seem to cause my face to breakout a day or two later after using them. I reviewed the ingredients for this one again and noticed this has "Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Extract" and Vitamin E (tocopherol) which might be comedogenic for me, and I think one of these may have given me trouble , so I sadly won't be able to use it long term but I will definitely continue using other IMAGE Skincare products that work for me.
