SCHWALBESV17 Inner Tubes 700 x 28-45c / 28" 27", Presta 40mm Valve (2 Pack)

These are substantial inner tubes. I'm quite willing to take a little extra weight for the protection they provide. I first used those provided with the Schwalbe Marathon Pro tires. I managed to pinch flat both tires going head-on over a bollard hinge (watching a deer). The punctures, caused by the rims smashing the tubes wall through the tire against metal plate, were small and there was only one puncture rather than the usual two. I could have patched the tube, but circumstances were against that (bad area, sun going down) so I opted to walk home. But I liked what I had seen enough to get the same tubes.

Just what I was looking for. Perfect!

First thing to notice , they seem a little thicker. Pumped up without tire , and tube is uniform size throughout,not like some brands that bubble up in spots to let you know they are thin in that section. Also like the clear dust caps, unique.Double pack was a good value

I recently purchased parts to build up a second set of wheels so I could easily exchange between a road tire set and touring size set. I bought these Schwalbe innertubes for my touring wheels set and used them for the 2023 Ride-the-Rim Crater Lake cycling outing in September. Everything was fine, however, the next week I experienced innertube leaks following some outings on mountain bike trails. I was riding with these new Schwalbe tires and innertubes, however, the innertube was not punctured. Instead the leak was coming from the Presta valve stem core which had not been properly tightened at the factory. Using needle-nose pliers, I tightened the nut (flats) which hold the valve core in place. This stopped the leaks in both innertubes.

I put this on my wheels/tires on the day one no issue so far so good!

This installed and worked without a leak. Will check after a few days to see if no abnormal slow leaks develop. So far so good.

Well made bicycle inner tubes. I am slowly replacing the tubes on my bicycles and in my seat bags with these because I believe they are sufficiently rugged without being excessively heavy.

I put one new tube in saddle bag. Out on ride and friend had a flat. I took off tire, and felt for stickers and put in new tube. About this time rain starts. Tube won't hold air. Can hear it leaking out around stem. Had to get a ride home and found large hole next to stem. So next day put in the other tube I get and we ride 2-3 miles and it goes flat. Walked bike home and checked later. Hole in tube, this time outer tube but no stickers in tire. Then read reviews. Not first time both tubes were defective. I was just past return date. Don't buy these.
