Q: Can i use a 10 or 15 amp fuse to hardwire the dashcam?

I used the slot which houses the cigarette lighter and the fuse for this is 15A. The fuse for the dashcam is 3A and they both sit in the double fuse adaptor which fits your vehicle (I forget its proper name - 4 are supplied with the dash cam kit and you choose the size which fits). Don't use a fuse bigger than 3A for the dashcam itself.

Hi there, I used this kit with my Dash Cam, I used the same fuse location as the centre console 12v ports (cigarette lighter). Once you have plugged it into the fuse board, take the original fuse & insert in the extra fuse point in the wire you just plugged in. You will end up with two fuses in the holder (wire) & the holder in the fuse board. The cam will work when the ignition is on. :)
