14k REAL Yellow/White Gold 2mm,3mm,4mm,5mm,6mm Ball Stud Earrings with Screw Backs

I have double-pierced ears, and I always wear my diamond studs in the top piercing. I wanted a yellow gold earring that could be worn long-term without irritation. These perfectly fit the bill. They are shiny and classic, so they go with everything. I read the reviews of these earrings before purchase, and this is my experience with them: first, I knew that really tiny studs (3mm or less) could slip through my piercing, so I selected 5mm studs. These do not slip through; second, the earrings arrived in perfect condition; third, the screw backs are tiny, really tiny. They do not screw on far enough to compress my earlobe, but they hold the studs on securely. I am extremely allergic to nickel, and these earrings have never irritated my ears.Just a tip from a klutz: if you're near a sink when you're handling the backs, put a tissue over the drain. I dropped the left one on my first attempt, and it was a relief to know it wasn't down the drain. I routinely sleep in these with no problems.

==Update==Three years later, I still wear this pair of earrings. Once a month I do take them out so I can clean them well, and back in they go. They do benefit from a gentle buffing after three years. My ears did adjust after about 2-3 weeks, and I have had no discomfort at all since. Very happy with this purchase... still!==Original Review Follows==When I remove earrings from my second pair of holes, my ears seem to regenerate faster than kudzu vine. So, I always have studs in my second holes, even when my main earrings spend all their time on a jewelry tree.Wearing studs 24x7 meant that they had to be comfortable enough to ignore, and sturdy enough to not take a walk while I was ignoring them. My last set were great at the first part, but not so great at the second part. Even when I replaced the backings with a tighter pair, I woke up and discovered last week that in my travels I'd lost a stud.I bought screw back earrings out of frustration. The good part is that they look identical to the last pair of 14K white gold post earrings I had. The bad part is that in order to make them sturdy enough to hold a screw thread, the posts are ever so slightly thicker. The holes will adjust, I know, it's just right now, my ears are a tad cranky about it.The backs are tiny, but screw on securely - They don't feel at all like they might spontaneously loosen. Not that I'm above using a tiny drop of Loc-Tite on them, but I'd rather not if possible. I've slept in them for a couple nights now, and find them comfortable, and the backs still secure.

I was looking for a small gold ball earring for my nose and I decided to purchase these. Great choice. It was the pert size. They are real gold. I’ve had them over 2 years and they have not faded or lost the shine. No swelling or irritation in my nose. I even purchased a larger size for my niece and she’s 4 now and still has them in her ears with no problems. The stew backs are outstanding. I highly recommend them for purchase.

These arrived on time and that was the only positive I have to say about them. The studs are NOT baby/child friendly because the stems are too long. You would have to remove them each night so that they don't hurt when laying down. The quality is very poor, the stem bent just from trying to place it in my child's ear. But the worse is that if they are not even close to being gold colored; when I opened the box I thought they had made a mistake and shipped silver studs. The photograph is quite misleading.Overall, I am not happy with this purchase and do not recommend this earrings. After this experience, I would not buy anything else from The World Jewerly Center again.

These are really cute but very small, which is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a dainty earring to maintain a cartilage piercing and keep it from closing, and these fit the bill. They appear to be well made. The backs are a little tricky to get on as they’re very small, but once you get them on they are not going to budge. These are perfect for kids and adults and are super comfortable to sleep in.

Overall, the earring is cute. The gold ball has good quality but the bar isn’t as great. It’s changed color. Small backs so a lil difficult to put on and remove.

I have a few pairs, and even the ones I've had in for a year at a time are in great shape. Unlike a lot of earrings like this, the posts are long enough to they don't cause inflammation and discomfort from being too tight. The bigger ones sometimes sag a little due to how long the posts are, so I put a little rubbery silicone earring back on the posts at the back so they aren't quite so loose. They're definitely gold--I get intense itching, and blisters after a few hours, from anything else. I love them.

These 14K gold earrings were beautiful, very smooth and shiny. Packaged nicely in a gift box and arrived on time. I purchased them for my 1 year old granddaughter. The screw backs were a deciding factor for me: they provide safety and comfort for a small child. There has been no problem with the backs coming loose or falling off, so no sharp points to hurt our grand-daughter. The dainty size looks just perfect in her tiny ears.
