Forest Garden Forest Harvington Bench 4 ft, Pressure Treated

Good quality, solid bench. Easy to assemble and comfortable to use.

The build quality is great ... however, the dowels on the back would not align with the arms. Reported this to the manufacturer who sent a replacement. Same problem. Reported again and received another, same problem. Manufacturer did not seem to understand the quality issue at all and frankly, didn't seem concerned. At great expense I ended up with three benches all with the same issue. Eventually I asked for all to be returned which the manufacturer collected. Amazon would not refund me as the manufacturer collected the bench (and delivered it). Absurdly, Amazon wanted the bench delivering back to me so they could collect it - bonkers. Two weeks on and neither Amazon nor the manufacturer have resolved my refund and will not speak to each other. I cannot believe the poor service from this manufacturer who have great products, but simply don't understand how to respond to reported faults quickly. Buy with caution!!!

Assembled with basic hand tools.Nice and solid, you will need to people to put together.

I was disappointed by the quality of the wood supplied (see picture). Also they have switch the coach bolts for just screws now, which is less sturdy if you need to move the bench around. Sorry to say that the cost cutting mindset means I have to recommend you shouldn’t buy this product. Go elsewhere.

This is a great bench, and only docked 1 star because the assembly was not simple.I am a carpenter and fit kitchens for a living. Even so, I got frustrated with the supplied fittings, lining up the screw block inside the furniture to accept the screws was NOT straight forward. I got there in the end. Also, the pack of fittings that arrived with the beach were quite badly corroded.The bench itself is great, sturdy and comfortable. It is also good value for money.I would buy another, but probably utilise my own fixings and PU glue with cramps.

Very pleased with the bench it went together well and should give many years service with a good cover to protect it!The 3 seater needs two to build its not light!

The picture on Amazon shows what looks like a very chunky sturdy bench but the bench I put together is not sturdy if you grab the back rest of the bench and move it the bench rocks from side to side I think it needs some sort of bracing between the legs to stop it rocking, it’s not worth the money it doesn’t weigh 35 kilos either

Love it. Arrived earlier than expected. Very sturdy. Added my own bee cushions i purchased from M&S. Recommend to all. X
