Do you remember the days that Chinese branded products used to have a really nice shiny photo, lots of promised features, but work very poorly in actual use?I bought a dash cam back in 2017 and never even installed it because it was so far from being refined.Now this dash came on the other hand, is proof that things have come out really long way. First of all, it’s under $30. I wasn’t expecting it to work as well as it does. It’s really quite nice and has a lot of features, and a good mobile app which I have never seen before on a cheap product like this. The product itself is not buggy at all, and I’m really glad that I bought it. I was thinking that I would have to spend $100 to get a good dash cam with some sort of well known brand name but it seems that these small Chinese homegrown brands are finally putting out really good products under their own brand name.

I’ve had this Dashcam for about a year now and for only $25, which is almost $500 off from the other expensive dashcams, it records HD video at 60fps and memory card can hold months and months of storage and it doesn’t automatically trash videos which is good for me since I clip Dashcam videos on my YouTube channel “BluelDev” daily and will sometimes miss stuff on the drive that I notice later on in another video. Only downside is you have to buy your own SD card, but that’s fine. I recently broke the cable by accident but it still worked even after being crumbled by my door and I could go on and on it’s a total W Dashcam the 1 star reviews are just being unfair comparing it to a $200-$500 Dashcam

This camera is amazing! It has great clarity, wide angle, and I like how it segments the videos on the app (super easy to use!) so the timeframes are easy to find. Very discrete and small. Easy to hide the wires and set up. Highly recommend!

Bought this as a stop-gap measure until the more robust camera (front and rear view, etc) I want to hard-wire into the car is available. I refuse to drive without a dash cam - too many crazies on the road! - so I needed something for my new car to use temporarily. I like that it has an app to download/review footage (I do wish there were a screen but I'm old and like to see what's going on all the time) and a static cling piece to stick the 3M adhesive to, rather than the actual glass of the windshield. The small/narrow shape is good - it doesn't block my view out the windshield much at all. (I stuck it below the rearview mirror in my car to avoid obstructing my view in any way directly forward above the steering column. The new car's windshield is a little smaller/different than my old one so the smaller the better on the dash cam.)NOTE: If you are using CarPlay and want to open the app to look at footage, it will disconnect you from your CarPlay / wireless car linking, because the app's "WiFi" setting is that your phone connects to the camera as a wifi provider, not something routed through existing data connections and there's no way to somehow change that (connecting to the car's bluetooth or if you're fancy, car's built-in wifi). FYI there. I find that frustrating enough to knock off a star because it is definitely a fiddly distraction that requires pulling over and parking to deal with. No quick swapping back and forth at all.BUT - it's a camera, it works, and now I have a bit of peace of mind while I commute every day.
