Wow! Saved my scalp and hair!I have 1/2a/2b hair—fine, medium density, low porosity, and protein sensitive, with a very sensitive scalp.I used to use Head & Shoulders (I tried everything they offer) or Dove’s Dryness & Itch Relief dandruff shampoo. Both contain zinc pyrithione, and heavy-handed synthetic-smelling fragrance. Yuck. They both also left this gross residue on my hair, where my hair felt both dry and greasy. Double yuck. And my head would still get itchy by the next day! Triple yuck! So... not exactly a win-win for any part of my head. But I'd tried so many shampoos and these were the best options :(On the other hand, this CeraVe Hydrating Shampoo is fragrance-free, doesn’t contain zinc pyrithione and leaves my scalp itch-free all day, every day (!!!) and my hair clean and bouncy.I don’t know how they did it, but I’m so grateful!!! 🙏 You have no idea. I was going insane trying to find something that would work for me. I tried SO MANY shampoos and conditioners. I thought Target was going to ban me from how many I had tried and returned.CeraVe also worked well in both hard and soft water for me. Obviously it performed better in soft water, but in hard water I successfully paired it with a clarifying shampoo and chelator (as needed): L’Oréal’s Hard Water Clarifying Shampoo and MalibuC Hard Water packets. I had to be careful with that combo though. It did a great job at stripping my hair clean, but if I used it too often, it absolutely wrecked my scalp.I now have softened water, and I pair the CeraVe shampoo with L'Oreal's Curl Conditioner or L'Oreal's Restore Conditioner (aka their hard water conditioner) and that's been working very well for me. If I need to clarify every so often, I just shampoo twice with the CeraVe shampoo, and that does the trick.Anywho, I recommend giving this shampoo a shot! Hope it works for you too!And CeraVe.... DO NOT STOP MAKING THIS AND DO NOT CHANGE THE FORMULA.

Surprised I like it so much. I generally trust Cerave as a brand. Ive used a lot of their lotions and washes, and they work how they say they will. I also appreciate that Dermatologists usually recommend Cerave products as well. AND Im also getting tired of how expensive salon quality shampoo/conditioner is getting these days. The affordability of this product, and the trust i have in the brand, swayed me to give this new shampoo a shot.And its surprisingly great!I mean i can do without hyaluronic acid in everything nowadays, but the full length of my hair does feel moisturized! And I feel like it built up a good lather without needing to use too much product, and my scalp feels good so far. its just a good basic shampoo, with typical shampoo smells, that cleans hair well, and is priced so everyone can benefit. And i like all that. I wash every 5-7 days and have thick, dense, frizzy, henna dyed, hispanic hair down to my mid back if that helps at all too.

I highly recommend this shampoo. It makes my hair feel so good and clean. I find that it works well but it doesn't get as soapy as other shampoos. It's a very gentle lather. I wash my hair every other day and don't have any issues with my hair feeling or looking greasy in between washes and my hair is naturally oily. I pair this with the conditioner and my hair feels amazing after each wash. I have been having trouble with other shampoos as they cause my scalp the be extremely itchy since I have such sensitive skin but with this shampoo I don't have any issues. I have bought this multiple times now and plan to continue to use it in the future.

It’s a decent shampoo for its price. I love it just like all the other cerave products.I am only a bit disappointed since when my friend recommended this to me, they said it’s good for hair that gets oily fast. I tried it and my hair got super oily after just 2 days. If you are looking for an oil-controlled shampoo, this might be a bit too mild.

Love this shampoo and conditioner. I have dry hair and this shampoo and conditioner makes my hair so clean and soft. I’ve spent money on high end shampoos and conditioners but cerave is top on my list using everyday just about. It also makes my hair shiny and doesn’t strip my color or hair at all. A gentle cleaner . Absolutely love it.

Omg! This shampoo is wonderful! After washing my hair with this shampoo I was able to comb through my hair without a conditioner. My scalp feels so clean without drying out my hair. I've been using Cerave skin care for years and always loved it so this shampoo working great was no surprise! Try it you won't be sorry!!

So far this unscented shampoo cleanses my hair well without drying it, unlike my last shampoo that had greatly dried out my hair. It moisturises enough that my hair is mid-moisture now, and my hair is left shiny. :) I would only recommend this product to those not expecting a huge lather because it doesn't seem to lather much at all. It's great for those sensitive to fragrances!

Love this shampoo and conditioner. I have super sensitive skin and scalp. I have thrown so much money away looking for the miracle shampoo and conditioner. The search is over. The shampoo and conditioner work great when used together. I don't have dry flaky scalp anymore and my hair is soft and manageable. I read another review that commented that it takes a few times using it to get the full effect. I would agree. I almost gave up after trying it just a few times. Don't give up. Your hair will thank you it will be clean and soft.
