Amazing controller
The 8BitDo Wireless Ultimate Controller exceeded my expectations. I was prepared for compromises at this price point, but it’s easily the best controller I’ve used. The joysticks are sharp, precise, and return perfectly to center with no noticeable drift or looseness. The buttons have a firm, consistent feel with virtually no unwanted play. Build quality is excellent, with a solid, well-balanced weight that feels premium without being bulky. Best of all, the design is refreshingly simple and functional without unnecessary complexity. For the price, it’s outstanding! I'm blown away

Best Purchase in a While
Perfect Controller!- Good weight (I was initially worried it would be too light)- Instant connectivity- Auto shut on/off with the dock (included and very nice looking!)- 4 Extra Remappable Bottons (2 back, 2 shoulders)- Software is very simple to use- Nice colour customisation (or turn off if you'd prefer)- Generally feels very comfortable to use- Choice of bluetooth or 2.4 dongle (i prefer 2.4 every time!)- £49.99 is a stealOverall, I will be using this controller for quite a long time! Adaptive triggers next? 👀

Quite good for the price, highly customisable
The D-pad feels very comfortable. It has a nice, soft actuation, which I prefer over the clicky D-pads from my Xbox one. The analogue sticks also feel really good, they are not only smooth and responsive, supposedly uses "Tunneling Magnetoresistance" which should mean they are precise and will last well. The wireless connection feels very quick too, with no noticeable lag.A nice feature for the RGB fans: customisable RGB lighting around the analogue sticks. You can choose the colours you like. It is also possible to have the colours change when you rotate the sticks which made for a cool visual effect. The software also allows for a lot of tweaking, making the whole controller highly customisable well beyond just the lights, like remapping buttons. The back bumper buttons feel well made too, I mapped them to the stick click functions (L3 and R3). Way more comfortable than having to click down on the sticks. The charging stand also looks nice, make the whole thing sleek. The switchable trigger system is a bit of an ehh. It's a bit of a gimmick rather than a truly cool feature (much like the haptic on PS5), and honestly, a bit inconvenient to use, so I have mostly left it on the standard setting.Overall though, I'd give this a strong 4 stars. It is comfortable to use, offers genuinely useful features (especially those back buttons and the customisation), and the performance is excellent. If you are looking for a reliable and responsive wireless controller, try this, you're getting way more for your money than the PS5 or Xbox controller here. Just be aware this specific model is for Windows and Android, not the Switch/2.

Amazing gyro gamepad for Windows gaming
Do mind that this model does not support Nintendo Switch by design, you should look for a different one.Prime quality, plastic is really nice. Everything - sticks, buttons, triggers, bumpers - feels amazingly good. 8bit software allows you to remap buttons to some extent and configure up to 3 different layouts. Those modes are also the way you can enable gyro. There are 2 way you can configure it: by pressing & holding specific button or by toggling gyro on/off via a single press. Gyro feels good, been playing some 3rd person shooters and it does its job pretty well. The only downside here - it supports only yaw movement and no roll for horizontal aiming. Its fine but if you like me coming from Steam Deck gyro you'll be having some adjusting time. Also configurable triggers are pretty damn cool feature. I didn't new I needed them until gamepad arrived. I cannot recommend it enough.

very poor support and almost no information provided with product
Bought to use as a replacement controller to play Euro Truck Simulator. Looked good out the box, but D Pad and buttons would not be detected by game, and 8BitDo don't have steam controller support. Instructions in box and online manual are almost useless (instructions unclear and extremely limited), downloadable manufacturer software unusable due same issues as instructions/manual. Very disappointed, it is not an unreasonable expectation that a modern controller would support the basic functionality of a 15 year old Xbox360 controller.

Responsive controller
Replacement for Elite 2 controller that kept failing on me but this is soo much better. Nice charging stand and the sticks are super responsive. Ideal for FPS games with no lag.

Impressive quality at this price point
I picked this up to replace an old Xbox Elite controller that had developed faulty buttons. I wasn’t expecting it to match the feel of a premium controller, but this 8BitDo genuinely holds its own.Despite being much cheaper, the build quality is excellent, there’s no flex, no creaking, and it feels solid in use. The software’s a standout too. Setting up the rear paddles, adjusting dead zones, and customising profiles is all straightforward and works exactly as it should. The addition of hall effect sticks at this price is a real bonus, and after months of regular use on PC, it's been completely reliable, no dropouts or weird behaviour at all.The charging dock is another win. The controller slides onto the pins with zero fuss, no fiddling around to get it to sit just right, which seems to be a common issue with other brands. It’s a strong alternative to much pricier options and has genuinely exceeded expectations.

Great controller, needs a manual in box.
This controller is seriously amazing. There is quite a bit that you need to find out however as there is no manual in the box.One major thing that I did not realise is that the dock acts as USB-A pass through for the USB-C dongle as long as you have the dongle inserted into the dock. This was major for me as my pc does not have any USB-C ports.Additionally the star button only changes the lighting modes and you hold the start button and use the d-pad to cycle through the available colours in that mode. But seriously this controller rocks.
