Used this for Thanksgiving Turkey
Used this for a recipe to marinate turkey overnight. You mix it with salt, rub it all over the turkey and under the skin of the breast. Let it rest overnight uncovered in the fridge. Cook it the next day. Perfect! Gives it a nice smokey flavor. You can add soy sauce and maple syrup to the pan drippings for the gravy. It's a nice Asian, smokey flavor. The recipe comes from Milk Street. Very easy and simple and the turkey comes out great! Highly recommend. I did it for Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Too expensive
Over $20 for 40g of average quality tea was just over priced.

Disappointing Lapsang Souchong
For the elevated price of this tea, I thought I would experience a true smoky, tarry Lapsang Souchong experience. This tea has no smokiness to it, whatsoever. The flavor is pleasant - mildly sweet - but I am sad that I spent so much and did not get anything from it that I was looking for.

Not Much Smoke
To say this is tea is lightly smoked is an understatement. I've ordered any number of Smoked Lapsang Souchong teas in the past and all of them have exceeded the amount of smokiness found in this particular product. As for the "tarry" part, I didn't pick up on that at all.It was steeped as suggested, and I made other pours with longer steeping times to try to coax out any sort of smoky flavor, but all I ended up with was a very strong tea. Incidentally, as a tea, it's flavor is fine, but not what I expected or thought I was ordering.
